3rd Street Tavern

I had the 3rd st. Double Bacon Burger. The burger was very greasy. Bottom bun was absolute mush. I had to cut the burger up and eat with a fork. Top part of the bun was overly dry. Very thick cut bacon was cooked but not crispy at all. I like crisp external layer on my bacon. Fries were extremely greasy but had a good flavor. If you like an extremely greasy burger and fries, then this place is for you. Service was good. Bar table was a little too loud for me.

We tried the non-alcoholic beverages - Blueberry Lavender Lemon Drop and the Strawberry Refresher - both were delicious. We also had the smoked chicken queso dip (I didn't snap a pic) - fabulous! I had the Beef and Cheddar (prime rib sandwich) which was amazing. The fries are great and the homemade ranch dip put them over the top. Superb meal. The only drawback to the meal was the volume of the music - it was just a bit too loud for easy conversation. We came at 4:30pm which was perfect because the place filled up fast for the supper crowd.

The best fried pickles I’ve had. It’s a spear wrapped like an eggroll, and it’s an awesome twist on a basic app! Chicken Caesar wrap was super dry and bland. Bacon cheeseburger was good. Hand cut fries were good. Wings are very smoked, had I known I would’ve gotten something else; tasted like I liked a smoker not a fan. They were plump though and would’ve been bomb (unsmoked IMO). But you must try the fried pickles!!!

We had the shrimp and grits. With the brisket sandwich. For dessert, we shared A banana cream pie. Everything was excellent. Great pit stop between the cities and Mankato.

We were traveling through and wanted outdoor seating so we could keep our puppy by our feet. Not only did they allow it, they ENCOURAGED it. They even brought a bowl of water for her. Addison was so accommodating and Gigi was a great server. Oh...food was great. My son thought the cheese curds were the best he's ever had...and I concur. And they have cornbread! Will stop often when through St. Peter.

Loved the nachos with brisket. The menu has great BBQ selections and smoked meats. Drinks are very creative and great too! Wonderful Bourbon selection and flights. Atmosphere if lively with music and an industrial chic decor.

Amazing amount of alcohol choices (see photos). Very good food, and excellent service. Nicely decorated with TVs also. Very comfortable.
