My first experience at Sunfay Massage was great. I was able to make a same day appointment for my frozen shoulder. The therapist was understanding and professional. She spent all the time necessary to relax the muscles, stretch them, and then addressed the accompanying muscles in my neck, chest, and forearm. Please understand this was immensely helpful, but not particularly pleasant due to the pain and discomfort I arrived in. The next morning, I was 80% better with almost full range of motion! I can't thank the therapist enough.

I don't normally take the time to write bad reviews, however I cannot ignore the service at this location and wanted to share my experience to help others who may question booking here. I also would like to note that I reached out to the owners privately via email to try and resolve this before posting a review as I know how detrimental a bad review can be to small business. The owner did not express regret for the bad experience nor take into account any of the feedback, but instead offered us a $20 voucher to come back, even after expressing we aren't locals and how dissatisfied we were with our service. My husband and I booked an appointment here for a couple's massage because we felt the prices were really competitive and also noticed the positive reviews left. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our appointment and there was no one there. We weren't brought back into the room until 15 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. We were given no instructions on what to do like you normally experience at a spa, so I had to go out of the room and clarify whether we were to lay on top or below a very thin sheet. Once they came into the room, they started to lightly massage us under a thin sheet for about 15 minutes or so, which was very uncomfortable to both my husband and I. My husband then asked if they planned to use any lotion/oil or massage us underneath the sheet. The rest of the massage consisted of very light touch with hardly any lotion. They did not ask us about any problem areas or areas we'd like to focus on. My massage therapist in particular left the room a handful of times taking away several minutes from the massage. We put together that our massage did not last as long as we paid for either due to what time we finished and what time they brought us back. We STILL left a tip because we felt bad not doing so, but it was honestly the worst experience either of us have ever had. The owner never emailed me back once I told him we weren't locals and didn't want a $20 voucher because of us not being locals, but also honestly not wanting to come back. It doesn't seem like they take into consideration customer feedback or value excellent customer service here. My husband and I went right down the road before our trip ended to The Woodhouse Spa in Mount Pleasant, where we had a COMPLETELY different experience. I would highly recommend The Woodhouse Spa to anyone who is looking for a massage in the Mount Pleasant area! I hope this poor experience is isolated to us, but felt the need to post a review in case this happens to anyone else - please don't waste your time or money. Edited after owner's response: As per my email that you never responded to, I never asked for a full refund as I stated that I understood your massage therapists still invested their time, even though it was not the full hour. I asked if a partial refund or any amount of our massage could be refunded since we left so dissatisfied. I have never asked for that anywhere else but like I mentioned, we did not have a good experience and it was very disappointing. We were unaware we could get up after 10 minutes and leave/cancel or else we would have gladly done so. We did not want to embarrass anyone during the massage which is why I contacted the owner afterwards.

Linda gave me a wonderful massage today. She is strong but also know to flexible all over my bank and legs I feel like a brand new person Im enjoying it now cannot wait for the session to be over so I’m going to leave 5 stars review come see Linda guys.

My experience at Sunfay was an amazing first time massage that I’ll never forget! My massager was very gentle & firm with her touch & made sure I was comfortable and happy with every step of the massage. The ambiance & lighting made it feel more gentler/comfortable. 10/10!

I went for a massage because I was having persistent back pain and received a wonderful massage from Julia who not only was able to reduce my pain but was kind and understanding. I felt very comfortable with her and appreciate how professional she is. I will certainly return!!!
