Cocktail St Pete

Visited St. Pete for a stay cation and fell upon this lovely gem! The atmosphere was great, we just wanted something to eat and to get out of the heat. Dante is such a treat! He is attentive and answered all of our questions! His demeanor is so kind, he is a pure joy to be around and we look forward to seeing him when we roll through again. Taylor inside bar was great, took my order and explained how the process went, we are central FL so the tokens and specials were unfamiliar. We were served within a 10 minutes or so not long. I ordered the Dik -Fil-A and it was amazing, the apple slice made a delicious crunch. I had misread the ingredients and thought I missed it on the sandwich. I did kindly ask for pickles from Jamie who swiftly brought them along with a smile. The sandwich hit the spot was juicy and my wife and I enjoyed it very much.

A chill place with fun atmosphere and hilarious drink menu. Sebastian is the best! Haven't tried the food yet, pleased to see some vegan options on the menu.

I am sorry to say I will not be back. Fist time here and I was hoping it would be great. I got in line at 8:47 to cash in on my last BOGO drink special, only for the staff to help people who walked up after me. Then at 9:09 be told I can’t use them anymore. The folks who cut in line were able to use theirs. I understand policy, but the bartenders should know that the two of them can not handle the crowed and be a little lenient instead of dancing around with the loud crowed who just walked in.

I quite literally never leave reviews, especially negative ones, but as someone who has worked in the service industry for years and went to Cocktail because I’ve heard it is a fun queer space, I am so extremely dissatisfied. I understand that there are rules, whatever, your business your prerogative. Rules need to be POSTED. You can’t expect everyone to know them magically. I was yelled at by multiple staff members multiple times to the point of me leaving the bar. I was polite and kind when speaking to a manager (manager? I don’t know he was a taller older gentleman, he was not very kind to me) and he continued to berate me. He started the conversation by shouting “NO!” at me from across the bar. I will say, thank you to the tall tatted bouncer at the door with the curly hair give that man a raise, I would trust him with my life. However he is the ONLY staff member I’ve met here who showed me an ounce of kindness. Sucks that such a cool spot can be ruined by unprofessional behavior by staff. We’re all family in this community and I was hoping cocktail had gotten that memo. Won’t be returning, also the drinks are gross

This bar is part of the Mari Jean hotel it is on the first floor and has some event every night, which is pretty great. I got to see Bingo and Karaoke. I ordered gaysodilla with chicken, and it was really good. Maybe a tiny bit overpriced for the portion, but it was good. I felt welcome and had a good time. While the rules are no smoking or vaping in the door, I saw this happening, and no one addressed it. Even another customer sitting next to me commented on this. Also, the smell of weed lingered through the outdoor bar inside. So that hurt the atmosphere and experience a little for me as I really can't stand that smell. Also while I was there a couple got in a fist fight, however the staff handled it well and got them separated and out of the bar but it was scary for a minute as the one guy looked very intoxicated and unpredictable. Even though this stuff happened, I would still say the bar was a beautiful, great theme that works with the hotel and is very clean and super convenient to anyone staying in the hotel. The only thing I thought was strange was the 1 person bathrooms for a bar. I feel you should have a large bathroom for multiple people. Other than that, I recommend checking out this fun friendly bar. Great parking right outside, too. Not sure why the place is getting bad reviews as of late. My experience at cocktail has always been a pleasant one and it's always felt inclusive to me. I'm a female and I've never felt like anyone treated me poorly or like I don't belong so I'm not sure why others feel that way. The bartenders have always been friendly and chatty with me. They also have an awesome 2 for 1 happy hour during the day at the The Wet Spot. If I just feel like relaxing by the pool for a few hours and getting a bit tipsy, it's my go-to.

Amazing bar and entertainment! You can tell how much they care about their customers making sure they are safe and protected. Investing in security to ensure everyone can have a great evening out without feeling nervous in these crazy times. The only people complaining about security here are the ones being called out for doing things they shouldn't be.

I’ve never had a good experience at Cocktail. They go against everything that being LGBTQ+ is about. It’s about love! Acceptance! Community! I took some straight friends there and they wouldn’t let them sing karaoke. I am gender non conforming and I stand at the bar for so long waiting for service while the staff serves all the men first. They were so hateful and rude to my trans friend. The drinks are over priced and too strong. I guess it works if you are male from birth and gay and basic. I will not support the hate. Please do better.
