NO DO NOT DRAG BRUNCH HERE. The"buffet" was out of food before they served the whole room and they let people go back for seconds before they served the room. And, the service and performance are equally unprepared and bad. Absolutely avoid this place. Back of house has no clue on how to prepare for a group this size and the service staff doesn't actually care. Total rip off.

Nellie’s Drag Brunch remains one of the craziest, silliest and fun days we’ve shared as a family. It was our first drag show ever and we had a ball. The buffet was nice but the desserts and drinks were very good. But that’s not the main event anyway is it? THE PERFORMANCES, oh my gosh. Great music and fantastic, energetic performances! There were lots of brides/birthdays & other celebrations happening and the performers made sure to highlight every last one. In addition to talented, they were so kind. Thank you to Deja & crew for a wonderful day out. Doug, you have an incredible bar. If you’re in NW DC, dont miss this one.

I never leave negative reviews, [check my history] but $35 ( 20%) tip. For a high noon and a frozen 'poured ' drink is insane. I would have stayed for the food and atmosphere but be careful as prices are out of control. I highly recommend the dirty goose across the street. Great prices and amazing bar tenders. Nellie’s is a lively and welcoming gay bar that stands out for its vibrant atmosphere and excellent service. Here’s the deal (in my opinion). You don’t go to drag show brunch for food. You go to be entertained. And these queens are fabulous. The food was perfectly mediocre. Protein was generally over cooked (I had pork chop and meatballs), veg was over cooked and stringy (asparagus). Carbs were pretty good (pasta salad, mashers, Mac and cheese). Dessert was good (banana pudding). Service wasn’t bad. Had to ask for water 4 times and had to wait a bit for drinks. But all of that said, I am 100% coming back. The show was great!! I LOVED the music. And some of the shenanigans were hysterical. And the drinks were STRONG (just the way I like them)! I had the Octopussy (because how could you pass that up) and it was tasty!!!! . Nellie’s is also very easy to get to from the metro station.

Had a birthday brunch on 8-4-24. Most amazing entertainment, great food, and great host. They accommodated my family member with a disability, staff is really amazing.. looking forward to another returning.

Christian is a top-notch bartender! Friendly, skilled, and attentive. He crafted a perfect custom cocktail and made the bar experience lively and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Johnny was the best bartender! Loved the trivia and the service! Can’t wait to come back! Go on Wednesday for a great time!!! Come with a big group if you want to win trivia though!
