60 people drinking and spendng money and they shut down for an hour to prepare for a show to which they charge admission. The day manager has no business sense. Stay open and let people spend money while u “set up” and then increase the price of the drinks at showtime. Silly management. Will not return. The shift manager kept me sitting at the bar drink-less for 15 minutes because he occupied the nice bartender by chatting to him in the corner while constantly touching his nose. Then he grabbed cups by the rim and served customers. Disgusting. Music way too loud for the room. This place could be a gem with a different management, although it could be the owner making the bad decisions. Bartender very nice and apologized for the wait.

Visiting from Denver and stopped in randomly on a Wednesday night. There was a drag competition going on, and it was awesome. Drinks were good and the vibe was great. Nice patio on the back that we chilled at after the show. If I lived here I'd come often!

First time at this place. We came early to pre game for the night. Loved that they had a DJ from 5-9pm we watched the game and had delicious drinks. Definitely a must stop.

Friends suggested I check out Shakers while I was in town and I am so glad I did. Kevin was bartending and did a phenomenal job of welcoming the out of town peeps while also serving the regulars. If I lived here, this would be a regular spot. If you’re looking for a judgement free, top notch experience - stop in here.

Lively crowd, but pregame (have drinks) before coming as the prices are high for cocktails

This is normally my favorite bar just to relax an see the local an drag race girls but for some reason last night on 4/20 the door security was so rude to me an my friends last night. After scanning my id looking me in my face to let us in we go get a drink not even 2 seconds later I’m heading outside to get a friend security is saying I can’t enter the club with out wristband which we had! Then he said it was full!! We literally was the only ppl who stepped outside. So sadly after him being rude we left a didn’t get a chance to even enjoy the show …..do better

Absolute disrespect; I try to be nice with respectful to constraints of these bars but this was so unacceptable. Ruined my girlfriend’s birthday.

5 stars across the board, my new favorite gay bar in DC. Bartenders very good at their craft, it has food (in collaboration w/ Whitlow’s), and has a great vibe. Music good but not so loud you can’t hear the people you’re with, and the options for where to be (indoor, indoor patio, outside patio) are all very nice and nice to have for varying weather. I’m impressed, and will definitely be back. PS, the staff is hot. What? I may be a lesbian but I have *eyes* 🙂 Note: No one in pic bc I came right when it opened for the day.
