Honestly, one of my favorite places to go out in Pittsburgh--it's a dive bar, in the best sense possible. Have an open mind and have fun--let loose! The second floor has amazing house music on the weekends (and dancers!). Others comment on the no-nonsense aspects of this place, but it adds to the charm. And by that I mean this is an old building and the bartenders are direct in their service. No frills. Even if this isn't your scene, it should be noted that this is still part of Pittsburgh queer history and what they've done over the years. This is an independently-owned-and-operated bar and we are lucky to have Lucky's as part of our community!

I went on a Sunday night. I came just for the go go boys. I arrived at 9 pm but found out that the upstairs didn’t open until 10 pm. I waited in the 1st floor and ordered a couple Long Island Ice Teas. They were alright. The patrons were mostly older men. There was a good variety of music playing on the jukebox. The smoke wasn’t as bad as some reviews suggested. The upstairs opened up and I walked up the stairs. There was a square bar in the middle of the room. There were 4 white 20’s twink go go boys. They were wearing only socks. They were nice looking. I wish they had a couple naked Latino boys to spice it up. I stayed for an hour. I had a good time overall.

I got a generic Red Bull and paid full price ♀️ it’s a hole in the wall bar, but for a good vibe it wasn’t bad. Felt safe despite the aesthetic. Participants seemed friendly/respectful enough.

Great staff and extremely sexy dancers!!!! I finally made it there from Baltimore last night (been trying since summer 2021 when I completed the background check) to work as a dancer and hoping to make this a monthly recurring trip. Make sure you tip your dancers and your bartenders. This place needs to stay around and can't close.

Very surprised this place has a high overall rating. It's a dirty, total dive that looks like it should be condemned. The other patrons I met there were rude and invasive and seemed to want to direct me as to how to sit at a bar and order a drink. They only take cash which is inconvenient for many customers. They charge nearly $3.00 for water even if you've ordered a regular drink. I really can't see why anyone would waste their time or money here.

It’s alright. Watching the go-go dancers gets old pretty fast. The place is definitely a dump— not that that’s inherently bad. I would go back but not regularly

I arrived at what was to be their opening of the bar, which I hadn’t known. I just wanted an afternoon drink & to relax before visiting family. Patrons were also standing by the side entry door (one I later learned was an owner), so I joined them to wait for the bar to open. Well, not one person even said hello to me, an obvious out-of-towner, & I stood there quietly gleaning the situation from their interactions. Bartender hadn’t shown, & didn’t for more than an hour. In that time, those people left, others came & stood, all the while I was left to try unsuccessfully to enter the varied group dynamics of these regulars. I finally went & sat in my car to wait, watching. In that same timeframe, I was accosted by 5 different people knocking on my windows…cigarette? Change? Buy a blunt? Need a blow job? Sir you’re in my usual parking spot… Loads of fun! I finally got in for a drink after returning & the most joy-filled bartender with a tail bounded over & made my drink, & my day. He was so happy & carefree about life it seemed, I had laugh inside at my previous thoughts. I had a silly smile for the rest of the night & my 3 hour drive back home. Don’t know his name, but he’s unmistakably cute & happy-go-Lucky. Thanks!

I wish it was mentioned more in the reviews that this is a SMOKING bar. It's 2023 and there are still SMOKING bars around. They make no qualm about it with big fat signs on the door. We were there Friday around 10 as this was the gay bar from our hotel. The bar itself was pretty quiet with a few people smoking by the bar. It's busier on the top with 3 go-go boys dancing in a room filled with smoke and older folks. We walked out to the back patio and got recruited by a table of customers from out of town in Pittsburgh for a convention, who were also at the back outside coz they didnt want to burn their clothes after going to the bar as well. We hung out with them for a drink which was fun. As we were leaving the bar picked up a little just around midnight. The location of the bar is interesting. The bar resisted a buy out so the new development has to build around them now. Power to them in that regard. But if smoking bothers you. This isnt the place for you.
