Al's on 7th

As soon as I walked into the establishment, I felt welcomed. It was a Friday night and not as busy as usual, the other places on the strip seem to be more popping. However; I looked up. The drag shows and quickly noticed that this was the best stage. After exploring around the area, I spoke to a few locals and headed right back to Al on seventh. The vibe was immaculate. The bartender service was attentive, long pours and cheap. I would 1000% come here again if I was ever given the opportunity.

In my time at Al’s I have always felt accepted, loved and cared for. Mark and his team make safety a top concern, both physically and socially. When you’re at Al’s, you’re family!

Let me just start by saying that my perspective is that of someone who doesn't live here and travels a lot. I came in for the Friday drag show. Cover is 10 dollars. There's a metal detector. Good safety measures at least. Most of the queens performing were just not very good. The only one who was putting on an excellent show was Ara Besque I believe her name was. The rest of them were just okay. I think ru Paul's drag race has made it so that anyone who jumps into a split is seen as "good." They have cameras so that you can watch the queens anywhere on the bar. Sounds great until the queens are working the room (which is half their performance) and you cant see them. Anyway, onto the bartenders. Also just not very good. The only decent bartender is the shorter guy. The other one made me a drink and I almost believe he just gave me cola instead of a mixed drink. The locals probably go crazy over this because they don't have anything better.....which is unfortunate. I wouldn't come here again.

Al’s is such a great place to go for good drinks and a good time! I’ve been when it’s packed and I’ve been when it’s dead. We had a blast both times!! The owner was super nice and accommodating when we went on Halloween night. On weekends or during pride, it is THE place to be! My wife and I have loved our experiences here!

Al’s is one of my favorite bars in Birmingham, that I now consider a second home. Mark and the entire staff go above and beyond to make sure Al’s on 7th is a save space for our community to enjoy.

I have always loved Al’s on 7th! I gifted Mark some flower seed for Christmas and he has sent me updates throughout the summer on how well they are doing!

Very unique club. Courteous and kind staff and the clientele were all very kind and appreciative and respectable of each other's personal space. The club was a bit smaller than I was expecting but still much fun was had The drag show was super fun. The club also has several entertainment areas. Always a great benefit. In front were the pool tables and the back area was for shows and dancing. The music was nice but I prefer more dance music with techno. Kudos, Robby Duty

This bar feels like home! The atmosphere is unmatched, the shows are top notch, and the weekly events such as karaoke they have are always a blast. Drinks are also very reasonably priced and made by kind, attentive, and seasoned bartenders that— like the entire Al’s on 7th team— you can’t help but fall in love with!
