Absolutely loved the music, the ambiance was a bit outdated but charming. Service left some to be desired, but that can be chalked up to my unique circumstances, I had a weird week and decided to have a few drinks to make it a decent end to the week. The bartender was a woman with curly black(maybe dark brown) hair, I had two drinks and just kind of zoned out looking at the liquor bottles and vibing to the music, but after finishing my drinks I was angrily confronted for staring, when I tried to clarify that I was not staring and have a traumatic brain injury and autism, I was still treated hostilely, and while I don’t blame the bartender I would say be a bit more careful if you have issues that might impact your social skills/cause you to be easily misunderstood. All in all? Good drinks at a fair price, a bit dated but still fun atmosphere, just probably not great for those with social issues

I never leave reviews, but my experience here was so bad I feel the need to inform the public. I went here and was waiting in line. I saw a younger gentleman get thrown out, which happens sometimes, but it gets worse. The security guard not only beat, but also enticed bystanders to beat up the individual outside of the bar, to which more people joined in on unleashing on this guy. He then threatened a small girl (who came in with him) and told her she'd be next (to get beat up) if she didn't leave. The security guard explained himself and said that the young man had flipped him off. So in short, the security guards here do not know how to do their jobs. What they do have is huge egos and will not hesitate to let their built up, peaked in high-school anger out on you. This is not a safe place for anyone, which is sad as this is an LGBTQ+ bar as well, where I would imagine there should be more employee screening to protect against modern prejudices.

Love love love having a queer spot that actually has young people in it. Drinks are pretty cheap, there's lots of drag shows in June, and people are truly friendly. Expect the place to be empty if you come before 10:30pm, and emptier any day that isn't Friday. It's kind of like having a bar and a club in one since everything else closed. HOWEVER. Sometimes the DJ just plays taylor swift and random soft pop songs. Occasionally he completely misses the vibe and the dance floor will clear out in less than 5 minutes (think going from 40-50 people to 5). If he doesn't catch on the whole place will empty out as people go find better spots. Lots of bad reviews because of the DJ, lots of complaints, some booing, idk why he still works there.

absolute piss poor staff and management for allowing employees and security to assault customers for no reason then watching and holding a man's stuff as he assaults someone trying to be a customer. I have pictures of the security that just stood their and watched. absolute dog water of a business. Wonder how this is going to play out. hoping for nothing but due consequences for a business that allows employees to act like this.

It's difficult to rate a bar because you know.. it's a bar but this is one of Reno's two gay bars. Well, it was since it's been co-opted by straights and nothing to really bring the actual LGBTs like myself here. For every gay, lesbian or trans, there's like 15 straights. While it's not the locale's fault, at least encourage us to come. Last time I went I had a straight gal hit on me, and a straight man got offended I hit on him. Whatever. Steve's could actually steal the gay clientele if they put one in the bathhouse lol..

So the other night I was planning on getting a drink, while in line, I saw a youngish man, get physically thrown out of the building and the security assaulting him, then had a group of people continue the assult, I heard it was because he gotten flipped off, then his female friend was also threatened by being told, if you don't leave your next. This bar is no longer safe for the LGBTQ community. I will also be filling a complaint with the city and county. It was pretty pathetic when management didn't come out and see what was going on. I'll take my money elsewhere. Also does that security guy have a PILB license?

Place would be great if they put the slightest effort in. It's very much a desperation spot to go to if you want familiarity over anything interesting or novel. DJ plays the same playlist of 2012-2016 hits every weekend without exception. Main queer bar in Reno and if a song or album is huge and relevant and widely loved? No chance you hear it here if made after the mid 2010's. Also, they have no real events, theme nights, anything. Even a night advertised as 'show up in x theme'. The owners of this place are rent-seekers in the most negative definition of the term, to say they don't care about queer people is an extreme understatement. But throwing a bone to queer people to lure in straight people for the 'vibe' needs to have some basis in reality.

The bartender was outstanding. The pool table was closed and no one was dancing. There were two patrons drunk and yelling just to yell. Not a good experience.
