Every burger comes with a side of pride and history. Love this place. . So glad it’s been a slate-wart(hate that word). The drinks are good. Reasonably priced (all things relative) and they make a mean burger. If you go at prime time it will be packed so place ur food order early! And try and belly up at the bar. That is where you get to see all the action take place

AMAZING burgers and fries. Pretty good margarita too. Our server Jose was a sweetheart. First time there, would definitely go back. Historic dive bar with very good vibes <3

I was a first time visitor to the gay bars in New York City and up until I found Julius, I was not overly impressed with any of them. I found Julius to be friendly and down to earth. I look forward to visiting there again

They attend you quickly, it is an ancient gay bar, this bar has his history. The hamburguer and the chef was good, like really good, I take out the onion because it is not cooked, but the hamburguer and the natural fries are good. They charge you for the pickles take a note for that. The gay beer was refreshing and neat. I recommend it. You found locals from the area and pretty handsome people around. I would love to come back.

My friend and I went to Julius bar to hang on the night of 9.11.24. The guy preparing the food informed us that we could sit at any open table of our choosing for service. We chose one of several open tables at the rear and sat there for about 25 minutes. During that time two other parties arrived, sat and were promptly served by the server who passed our table each time to take and bring their orders. Not once were we acknowledged by him or asked for our orders. We couldn’t help but notice how promptly service was provided to those guests who arrived after us. We also noticed that those guests were White. We found this rather upsetting especially since we’re both Black and the server was a POC himself. Finally, disappointed, we decided to leave the bar. On the way out, I told the cook that we were seated back there all the while and no one ever came to take our order to which he replied: “Really? Sorry.”

I came to this establishment with a friend on 9/11/24 and we sat down at a table waiting to be served for more than 30 minutes and there was very little traffic here. HOWEVER, FOUR White patrons who came in after us were served within seconds of sitting down. Us two Black men were totally ignored the entire time and we were very DISGUSTED!!!. Please do better Julius! You've already come from very racist beginnings.

This place was brilliant. The food here was really nice and fresh and it had a really good vibe. This is a great place to come if you’re LGBTQ+. I’d recommend the onion rings and the hot dog.
