Always enjoy my time there. The food is good for what they serve. Unlike some places, they don't try to serve foods that they can't handle. We always enjoy getting a snack there. They have a pool table, and they have expanded the space, which is nice. Allowing to go outside but still in the realm of the bar.

This bar is an odd one to figure out. Most people don’t seem to speak to anyone new — it appears to me that “new strangers” to the area are out of luck with the cliques it seems that stick to each other. I’ve been INTRODUCED into a few of those cliques, but it was only after someone mentioned that I was cute… and I should come and sit beside X person for a little bit and tell them more about me. I haven’t had ALL bad experiences at The Denver Eagle; when I first moved in I actually felt a twinge of “oh maybe this will be different!”…but lately… it’s been more and more escalated drama to the point where now… I’ll likely never go back up there. I have had more animosity come from people who visit THIS bar, more than any other gay bar in the city… and I think that says more about the patrons than it does the bar, but that’s who you’re going to meet… and ultimately… the staff don’t care about you…aside from Alex (who left sadly ) and JW, the owner; someone is usually checking on people to make sure they’re having a good time… but as much as they have tried to liven and lighten up the vibe a bit, they can’t fix the bad behavior of literally JUST A FEW individuals who continually seem to have issues with staff and patrons and more… and it just became a problem for me. I don’t drink at all, so maybe if I did I wouldn’t have noticed so many things as quickly as I did… but… that’s just my opinion; my experience. If this is your tribe, then absolutely go for it. Overall this was just a 3-star night for me at max the several times I’ve been. Service @ the bar? Great. Barbacks keep the tables clear and clean and etc? Great, AND smoking is allowed out in the FAR BACK “patio” area where the toilet is… but the vibe just feels off somehow. I don’t know ‍♂️ what it is… but it just feels weird sometimes… and maybe it’s the not including “unknown” people thing that makes it feel like that. No one spoke to my BF and I, the many times we were patrons… until the Owner or a Bar Staff member came up and asked if we were having fun, and I’m brutally honest and said, not in particular and they then told me the “red light party” would start soon, and that should loosen folks up… but it really didn’t socially, very much. I would maybe visit again in a few months… maybe next year for Pride or something… but aside that I don’t know that I’ll be back to visit much more.

Basic bar , but exceptional mostly gay crowd and adventurous fun themes. Stuff going on all nights of the week with fantastic people. Great service.

As a person apart of the community, and sober, I feel very welcome every time I go. I feel very safe and welcomed no matter what time of day I stop. Thank you for providing a safe space, even for someone sober. Thank you Tonio!

Only been there once. The bartender was great. Was looking for a place to go Saturday night, went to their website and discovered that they had a theme party "Bathhouse Night" which I would have enjoyed another time, so unfortunately, I didn't attend.

The Eagle has landed with a perma nest on Colfax. Chef Cindy puts in the hours in the kitchen for the bars dining menu. Come out and support the community as Denver Eagle hosts daily events from happy hour to speciality dance nights filled with debauchery all night long. Hope to see you there
