I’ve been coming here for about 5 years, every time it’s always a great experience! The employees, the shows, the events and even the parties are all a blast. Everything is well put together and everyone is super welcoming. This place is truly the only inclusive place in Syracuse and truly a gem. I will always go to wunderbar where my friends and I are always welcome! I love this place!

We went here for the Valentine’s Day dinner and it was terrific! The bruschetta in particular was my favorite and I’m so glad we were able to do this together with such a supportive restaurant team to attend to us. Will definitely return for more meals in the future!

This is more than a bar. It is, however, the latest and possibly the most unique arts and entertainment venue in town. Located on the outskirts of Armory Square, this place is definitely worth your visit. There is a full bar with unique signature drinks, a growing selection of craft and traditional beer and wine. Wunderbar is a "Queer" bar, not specifically a gay bar, in the sense you might think of. I'm not sure you would know it is even that, except for this... It is completely welcoming to everyone, whether gay, straight, bi, trans, gender neutral - it is open and accepting, comfortable and safe, and reminiscent of Cabaret days, with this sort of vibe and theme. They offer on ongoing choice of arts and entertainment —including weekly dance parties, classes, performances, drag shows, and more. The owners are terribly creative and enthusiastic about the arts and encourage individual expression here. If you are an artist, I encourage you to check in. If you are looking for a wonderful, bubbly, relaxing evening, I encourage you to check in... whether it's a Wednesday for piano bar, Thursday night dance party or weekend brunch or a Saturday evening on the town. Put Wunderbar on your destination list when in downtown Syracuse.

Great local queer bar with a friendly staff. Decent drinks and diverse friendly people. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a more relaxed environment to unwind after a hard week.

My brother was visiting from Binghamton and our friend suggested we go to Wunderbar. The layout has a cool vibe. There’s a book case with real books too! I still love a physical book in my hands. The staff and service, great! The entertainment area is nice and cool. It’s not hot! We bring the ♨️ ❗️The house band phenomenal! The variety of entertainment, eclectic, fun, and energetic! Overall, an excellent first time experience! We will be back!

Wunderbar strikes the perfect balance between up-scale and laid-back at the same time. They host a variety of events throughout the month, but I mostly prefer to just post-up at the bar with friends. Their craft beverages are strong, delicious, and worth the price. They also make great mocktails and have a good selection of non-alcoholic beer for sober folks. To say that Wunderbar is a “queer bar” rather than a “gay bar” is accurate. It’s definitely an inclusive space—a home for everyone whether you're straight-laced or a total misfit.

Fantastic business full of love and excellent service. Fantastic drink specials and inventive ideas. Every event i have attended has been executed very professionally. We're very lucky to have this place, and it's such a staple in the community of Syracuse. Thank you!!!

Simply put, this bar feels like home. I don't think it should even be classified as a "Gay bar" as it's a truly welcoming space in which everyone feels comfortable. I'm amazed at both the diversity and incredibly inclusive vibe of the patrons and staff every time I visit. The cocktail list is imaginative and delicious, and they've got a curated selection of taps and a great can and bottle list for craft beer drinkers. One of my favorite things about this place is that even on dance party nights, the dance floor is a separate space in the bar, so if you're not into dancing or loud music you can just hang in the bar and talk! Re: the dance floor, the security staff is really fantastic (but not intrusive) and I have honestly never felt safer in a bar than I have at Wunderbar. This has quickly become my new favorite spot in Syracuse, and we're lucky to have it!
