Great Ownership, Kyle does a fantastic job at making everyone feel welcome and safe. Genesis is QUEEN, THE DOLL, THE LEGEND! Great music by DJ Eric and awesome drinks from the bar staff. A place to party every weekend with PRIME ENTERTAINMENT!

Hello sunday! This place used to be THE best place to go for LGBT people. Somethings different now because the past 4 times that I have been to Icon I have only encountered the RUDEST bartenders and workers. Don’t ask the tall white guy for a water because he won’t give it to you. I’m not paying a reliable 10 dollar cover to deal with attitude from the workers all night. It’s way easier to go anywhere else for less, so personally I’d recommend Gallettes, bear trap, twelve, or even rounders before this place if you like to dance. THE MUSIC ISNT EVEN GOOD ANYMORE. I have never seen a “dj” (it’s a playlist that doesn’t take recommendations) play music that no one knows for hours on end….they start playing normal music around 12:30ish but it’s hell until then. Speaking of music…..those speakers…..they sound like they’re from a 1997 Toyota corolla with 256,000 miles on it. The music does not get loud enough at all. I will say the place can be fun if you already really drunk and this is the last place you go, but I am rarely, if ever, coming back until the rude staff is gone.

I just recently moved to Tuscaloosa from Atlanta and it’s very different. To be honest I really hate Tuscaloosa and it’s been hard looking for a place that feels safe for a POC to go out and enjoy. My friend recommended Icon and I decided to bite the bullet and try it out. First, the employees are so nice! Super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great and everyone who was there were also incredibly kind! The drinks were sooo good as well and of course the Drag Queens who performed were AMAZING!! I had such a great time and would definitely come back again!! Go support your local LGBTQ+ bars/Drag Queens! Thank you for a fun night Icon!!

It's basically the only distinctly queer bar in Tuscaloosa. Small, dumpy, divey--but it's what we've got. Centerpiece of the local drag scene. If you hang out on the stoop on Sundays waiting for Big Daddy's next door to open, sometimes you'll see old black dudes in clothes of the cloth jump out of a tinted black limo, throw holy water on the door, angrily pray, and speed off.

ZERO STARS - The rudest people sitting outside. I didn’t even go in and was harassed. Ridiculous.

Nice, but small and dark. Great place for LGBTQ people to meet up and have fun.
