As with the other positive reviews, this is a fun, local classic neighborhood gay bar with good vibes, pours and prices. While I was visiting from out of town with friends earlier in the evening, I would definitely go back for events and recommend it if you’re visiting or new to town. Be sure to ask Jared for a Rose Kennedy, even if he mispronounced it as “gay soda,” whatever that is ;-).

Hole in the wall local bar. Great times on events: pride weekend, played Pride bingo and pool table. Inexpensive drinks and friendly staff and great owners. The owners were super helpful too. Friendly low key crowd. Highly recommended

Fantastic bar/venue! Attended the Drag show on Sunday 2/18 and the 3 performers were amazing, the DJ was playing great music, drinks from the bartender Brittany and food from the kitchen make the environment that much better! The server was very attentive throughout the night!

The Stoned Wall is not a lot of things. It's not extravagant, it's not large, and it's not a massive tourist destination -- these judgements may seem negative, but I claim them with genuine affection. The Stoned Wall IS quaint, it IS tight knit, and it IS one of the better kept secluded hangouts in all of downtown. Walking in doesn't intimidate you, meeting the staff like seeing old friends, and the drinks and dishes feel homemade, with love. I adore coming here (especially with the NHGMC guys) to laugh the night away with cocktails and karaoke. You will too.

Dougie's was a refuge and an amazing place to go to. The drinks were bad but you don't go home to have a boujee dine in. After Dougie's passed the torch to Jared he has made the place more lively and brought it up to the times, the drinks are still 7/10 but it's still feels like home. I believe that the bar is in the right hands and I still go here weekly. Wish they would have a broader bourbon selection.

Upon my first visit to the Stoned Wall Bar and Grill I felt welcomed and well taken care of! This atmosphere is loving and safe where all can attend and enjoy! Jared, the bartenders, bouncers, cooks, shot boy, patrons and Helen made my first experience one that will keep me coming back for years to come ! If you want a great time, in a clean and fun barn this is the place to go !

I realize that my husband and I rarely go out these days, however, earlier tonight we decided to meet up with friends who are visiting to grab drinks. We started with drinks from one plane then decided to check out another. Then had a relatively interesting experience when entering The Stoned Wall Bar & Grill. It was our first time visiting the bar after changing hands from previously being Doogie's Bar and Grill ... there were four of us getting ready to open the door to enter the bar when some rando guy with no identification, who was sitting to the left of the door suddenly requests all of our IDs. Now, rest assured I'm no spring chicken and you can most certainly tell I'm more than 21 years old, let alone 30 or 35... I'm damn near 50! No sooner than we all get past the first entry requirement of showing this guy our ID's (all while a few others who are seated to the right of the entrance were snickering and giggling which didn't go unnoticed) then we approach the bar to order drinks when the bartender also asks all of us for our ID's... and when told there was someone at the door checking ID's, he makes the comment of not knowing there was anyone at the door checking the ID's of people entering the bar. Well, well, well... come to find out, it's none other than the 'new' owner sitting outside flaunting his clout, requesting ID's from anyone he's not familiar with. Although it was my first time there, it will likely be my last. Antics such as these are not a good look and speak volumes about his character and the establishment he's running. And while he's posted numerous times about being inclusive and making the place accepting of all who enter, his act of 'needing to know who the new people are' and acting authoritarian by asking for ID's, unbeknownst to his bartender speaks volumes about his style and approach. While I'll wish him well and hope he succeeds there are lots of other establishments that don't play these games. It's highly unlikely I'll return to this bar at any point in the future. It's really not a good look for the owner to ask for ID's of those entering when he knows or should know, his bartender would be asking for the same information! Cheers!
