The service on Saturday 5/11/24 was atrocious. After paying $20 cover for my husband and I, went to basement for drinks. The bartender kept taking off for over 15 minutes at a time. We left after 30 minutes of waiting...

This bar unfortunately lacks in smoke stacks or even a safe place to smoke cigarettes just so everyone knows.

Best performance ever!!! BEAUTIFUL DRAG QUEENS✨️. For the first time there..and celebrating my 21st birthday, was the best decision I ever made. Everyone is soo welcoming, employee, people, and the performers were just a vibe. I would totally come back...it was worth the 5 hours drive.

Not my absolute favourite spot in town, but it was pretty cool and certainly a much better place to spend the night than Gabe’s, especially if you don’t want to get physically assaulted.

great drag shows, and great drinks. another review mentioned this, but it is a bit sticky. the bathrooms are a bit sketch, but not random gas station sketch. The drag shows and music are upstairs. Downstairs is a bit more chill, with karaoke and stand up, as well as pinball and arcade games. There’s also another bar area on the Linn St entrance that’s even more chill.

Very fun bar, no judgement zone everyone very friendly. The staff is great never bully's or kicks you out for petty drama because it's a real bar/dance club. Drinks top notch! NO drama! Just dancing in the fog machine and strobe lights.. lots of friendly people.

I went during Iowa City Pride Fest today with some friends and my 25 year old trans male friend was denied service by a bartender named Nancy because he “didn’t look like his id picture” If I could leave negative stars I would. As the only gay bar in town this should be the safest and most inclusive space for him and he was burned. I am irate.

Such a wonderful experience for all. My wife loves taking me here! I enjoy it also, no one tries fighting you over dumb stuff and the staff are so wonderful! A must stop to feel a wonderful experience of culture at it's finest!!!
