AWOL

We hopped over here after my wedding last weekend and the bartender, Nick, was awesome! He gave me and my new husband a little cheers and didn't mind that our wedding party took over the bar. He politely but effectively shoo-ed out a very drunk person who was bothering our group. I'd come back just to see Nick! Thanks again!

I love this place, the bar is very lively on weekends. The people here are very welcoming and kind, and the patio is my favorite part. Very tropical like, me and my partner loved our food. cool how you can drink all over the place too. Definitely coming back as a regular

AWOL is one of the best new spots in Hillcrest. Chill atmosphere and good drinks. Definitely try the Canteena in the back for some fantastic Mexican food!

The night was supposed to be super chill, but Felix had the great idea of going out. How could anyone say no to that Boston raised, freckled Puerto Rican born face? We hopped in Linda and before I knew it, we were asking the bartender for two extra extra dirty martinis. “We don’t have martini glasses” Aaron mentioned turning his head about, with a hopeful, yet diminishing hopeful gaze to the other glass types on the bar.……. Everything was amazing! Bartender Keith made us the best Old Fashioned with peach bitters. Just came in today for taco Tuesday. We had the cochinita pork, chicken lime, and veggie tacos. As well as chips, salsa, and guacamole. Everything we had was **chef’s kiss** The guacamole was chunky and had the perfect amount of spice (nothing crazy). The house made hot sauce was perfectly spicy and equally flavorful. Prices are below average especially in this area. Service was friendly and welcoming. Drinks were strong and delicious.
