Tiki-Ko

I was there on a Thursday night. Not too big of a crowd. Drinks were delicious! If you like Pirates of the Caribbean this is an upscale version of that! We arrived close to closing time so only had time for one drink. Will definitely be back next month!

So I didn’t get any food to eat here fyi.. This place is truly a hidden gem in downtown Bakersfield! Walk downstairs to the Sunken Ship and it will bring you to another place and time, this place is well decorated and themed ! Drinks are original and had great flavor , service was good as well as they have a knowledgeable staff.

This place is a hidden gem! We came here by chance, and the place is as charming and cute as it gets. The main bar is on the upper part, but they have a speak easy bar downstairs. Really nicely decor, and they have an amazing selection of cocktails specially Rum based ones. The place seats small and large parties. It’s certainly a super cute place for a date night or friends get together. The service was amazing on the main bar.

Shark attack in a parrot mug (no shark mugs at this time☹️) Singapore sling in a bamboo mug and a cool little paper lantern. Second round painkiller for both mine was a virgin. Never had a mocktail that was very delicious. BTW.

Absolutely the best bar in town. Tiki-Ko is a full immersion experience, from the drinks to the decor and more! Their tiki theme definitely supports their name. Tiki-Ko is on the smaller side so if you arrive when it’s busy, don’t be surprised that there’s a line. Hop in line and wait as it’s not too bad and it’s worth it. Drinks are a little more on the expensive side but fear not, there’s plenty in them and their flavors will transport you to a relaxing island somewhere beautiful. The bartenders are top notch. They are super friendly so don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation with them. They’re also excellent in their craft. Be sure to catch their sister bar on the weekends, The Sinking Ship, a few doors down. It’s all the same great things in a bigger space with a nautical/tiki theme. The rotating drink options and cool swag definitely add to the experience too! Also check them out for their fun seasonal offerings. The cocktails are always good here. Very strong too. You get what you pay for. The atmosphere is so fun too! Love it both upstairs and downstairs at the sinking ship.

A total gem. Downstairs is big with an incredible atmosphere, really unique craftsmanship, extremely nice staff, and delicious drinks. Upstairs is smaller and more intimate, and exudes the 1960’s/70’s motif very well. It’s clear there’s a lot of love in this joint. Completely and absolutely worth your patronage. They’ve got some killer shirts, too.

I like this place is relaxing, you can talk and enjoy the delicious drinks.
