Casements Bar

Cute bar a little bit hidden with large back patio. Drinks are strong!! Food was just okay-- my favorites were the fish tacos and the grilled cheese. We also got the curry fries which were okay. Honestly a good spot for a casual corporate event.

We decided to head over to Casements for a quick drink after chilling in Mission Dolores Park. While we were intrigued by what seemed like a cool ambiance and the allure of the back patio, we were nonplussed by the service as we walked in. While there was a couple drinking at the bar and a server running food out to the patio, neither the server nor the bartender greeted us as we stood waiting, even after the bartender looked up and saw us, and continued to chat with the couple at the bar. Having worked in food service, I understand when staff are busy, but it was off putting to not even be greeted and we were about to leave before we were finally greeted. I got the Pea's for Bee's cocktail while my partner got the Belfast Coffee. The back patio was definitely the star of the show, which had a really cool vibe and would be a great place to drink a beer and hang out. The drinks were not bad but did not particularly stand out. That said, I would definitely come back here on a hot day to get a beer and hang out on the back patio.

One of the best bars in the mission. So many different little nooks to sit. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Creative drinks and classic pub food. Killer happy hour! Good for small and large groups. Highly recommended!

Fabulous bar, excellent food, amazing drinks and a lovely staff! Gillian, the owner, is absolutely wonderful and makes you feel special! Can’t recommend this place enough! The patio is awesome!

Gillian and the staff are great and attentive. Had my first spice bag with chicken. Not spicy but good. Great selection of Irish drinks. Full bar Indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor entertainment. There’s a snug in backyard.

Had a great time, around a few drinks with friends. It is unfortunate that the beer garden area backs on a dilapidated lot. The thin wall is not enough to contain the rather unpleasant smell of what seems to be used as a public urinal and smoking point.

Cozy place to enjoy with friends, the patio looks really welcoming with the paintings. I love their happy hour with $5 drinks, until 5pm. Overall staff is really nice but sometimes they seem overwhelmed.
