Luxor Hookah & Sports bar Denton

Back before 2019: I’ve never wrote any reviews back then, as I’m typing this in 2024. I have it 3 stars 5+ years ago when this place long ago was Pharaoh’s Hookah Lounge. I was a regular here at then, so were some UNT & TWU students back then during that era. This was one of my favorite hangout spot way before Covid era happened. Used to pulled up with exotic and JDM and all sorts of modified vehicles parked at front of the business, and just lined up. And I used promo Pharaoh’s throughout DFW at then. Great memories here. Missed the people I met and hung out at this spot. Now, I’m back in town… 09/09/24: This was my First time at Luxor Hookah Lounge & Sports Bar. Thinking of bringing back the vibes I once enjoyed, but with whole new ownership and newer crowds of Luxor someday soon. My server was Ms Julie, she’s very kind, friendly server. Much thanks for her services. I’m keeping it as a 4 stars. (As the highest I’d give to anyplace. Tori was our server. She over charged us and added charges we didn’t not ask for. We asked her how many flavors can we get without an extra charge. She replied 4 we chose 4 including a margarita flavored shisha, she gave us an entire margarita beverage in the base??? She apologized but did not correct the ticket. She added pineapple head to the charge and ice both of which we never received. They also had us play musical chairs after explaining we can sit anywhere except vip. This place barely had any business. They won’t last much longer lying the way they do. Pay attention to charges a 18% service charge is added Torri stated she only gets 5% of that. This was my first and my last time coming here!

The place has cool vibe. The food is good for which we were overly priced and the ice-cream is delicious. They had outdated menus in the front and when confronted about it we were given an other menu taken from the back. Got charged for things we didn’t order. We were also charged 18% service fee for a group of freaking 3 people and when questioned, they explained that this is how it works here. The server was considerate enough to explain things but all together it was not a good experience.

I ordered hookah with strawberry & pineapple flavor, the smoke was not getting properly with that flavor and I requested them to change the flavor with pan. At last they charged me for three flavors, I didn’t smoke those two flavors but they charged for me and they took almost 25mins to prepare hookah. Also I ordered the fries, they came with good looking burned( black ) fries. If the customer won’t like the flavor within 5 mins, please tell them that you will charge for another flavor. Without intimation at last you are charging for that.

I absolutely adore the food here, it delicious, also incredibly affordable. The ambience is inviting and cozy, perfect for a casual hangout. Also they offer a variety of games to keep entertained, and the hookah is available at a very reasonable price. Overall, a fantastic spot for great food, fun and relaxation.

Absolutely disgusted with the food we got . Went last night to have shawarma , but all we got is a chicken wrapped in heavily oil dipped chapati, which we get from bhavyas groceries . I had to eat it cause I had no choice . won’t recommend shawarma here

Worst place to drink the shots and cocktails they don’t know how to make them. However, if you are a desi you will enjoy the vibe of desi songs and ambience. My suggestion is order some beers instead of drinks made by the staff

I was in the city of Denton on business wanted to go out and have a drink the minute i walked in i wasnt greeted had to find the waitress. There was a handful of people in the lounge I took a seat, initially i came in with my wine wanted to take advantage of the BYOB but the waitress told me i had to get a hookah so that's what i did i stayed in the lounge for about 2 hours the music was ok i guess the astetics were below average holes on the couch and floor was badly stained. I had to look for the waitress all night for service finally I checked out out and i did tip 2$ on the total bill which was 57$ total but i woke up today and the amout was changed to 59$ this is very deceitful, trifling and unprofessional I will never go to a luxor again.
