Chapman & Kirby is a must-visit destination in Houston, and their partnership with Google for an exclusive AfroTech 2024 event elevated the experience to new heights. As someone who had never been here before, I was absolutely blown away by the seamless integration of technology and hospitality. The check-in process, whether you were on the waitlist or a confirmed guest, was flawless, thanks to an attentive and well-coordinated staff. The vibe was unmatched. The spacious bar area, designed to wrap around and accommodate crowds, allowed for quick and easy service, even during peak times. The indoor-outdoor flow was perfect, with a stunning garden patio providing a beautiful setting for conversations. The venue struck the perfect balance between sophistication and a laid-back atmosphere, complemented by great music. Now, let’s talk about the food—simply phenomenal. The jerk chicken wings, drizzled in a mouthwatering chili sauce, were a clear crowd favorite. People were leaving their Google shifts just to get another taste! The cold-pressed drinks were another standout, offering refreshing options that paired perfectly with the event’s energy. The space itself is highly versatile. From the patio to the dimly-lit bar area to the additional sections with booths, Chapman & Kirby is a venue that can transform to meet the needs of any event. The attention to detail—from cleanliness to the flawless flow of traffic—was truly impressive. Whether you’re looking for a brunch spot, a conference venue, or a place to host an exclusive event, Chapman & Kirby should be at the top of your list. As a keynote speaker and career accelerator, I found this space ideal for connecting with clients and empowering them in a dynamic setting. I can’t wait to return and experience the magic of this venue during its regular brunch hours! **This is happily endorsed by Lovely is YOUR Story for Inspiring tastes and excellence of customer service.**

First time visiting on Sunday for brunch. 5 Star for the DJ he played R&B, zydeco and line dance things! 4 Catfish and Grits and the shrimp& Grits were good. 5 star The drinks were wonderful: Passion fruit mimosa, Hennessy me and lemon drop . Paid parking is available across the street. We arrived at 12 pm and walked right in. There is a reservation list , but at the bar was easy to sit & fun meeting folks! Age group was late twenties & older.

We made reservation the same day they have walk in options if they have openings. We sat inside restaurant, the music was R&B mostly, great atmosphere. The food was okay. The portion sized were small. We went on a Sunday and it was the place to be for Sunday funday.

Did a walk-in around 2 pm on a Sunday. Luckily, they had tables still available outside. I recommend making reservations for brunch & bottle service ahead of time to get great seating. Initial service did take a while, but the food was decent. The party really gets started around 5:30/6 and you will want to reserve bottle service to have a place to sit. Overall nice experience.

Che definitely deserves 5 stars and a pay increase as well; it was definitely a pleasure, and thank you Che I give 4 stars due to my was 8 ppl so seating was uncomfortable and the other waitress didn't take orders well at all... I didn't get her name; blk girl with blonde hair. Especially for over an $200 spent... Drinks was just ok... Maybe I'll return. Thx!!!

The best place to go for a Sunday Funday! The inside was nicely lit, had both outside and inside seating, had a live DJ w/ good music. The food was amazing, service was great even though it took a while to get a server. Overall, definitely recommend for people to go to spend their Sunday.

YOU NEED a reservation or you will not find anywhere to sit. Despite our table being very small and crowded, the food was delicious, our server Bre was very attentive, the food cane out pretty fast, our group of 4 paid for the mimosa tower which was $100. Good DJ, fun atmosphere, just make sure you have a reservation

Meh. Very mediocre experience overall. The food was mediocre. Ordered the chicken & waffles (which was delivered 10 minutes after the other 6 meals, 3 of which were chicken & waffles) The waffle was very sweet but not tasty. Not fluffy. The chicken was okay I tried my brothers catfish & grits, which was just okay. We ordered a patron tower, which was just blandly dropped off while other tables got signs, lights, & whistles when they got their liquor towers it was delicious tho! The music was lit. The DJ was the highlight of the event. Kinda feels more energy is applied to the vibe of the venue than the quality of food or service, but at least the tunes are good, right?
