Spotlight Karaoke

Have been avoiding this place for wbo knows how long now because it had gotten run down and awful, but there's NEW OWNERSHIP and it had such a welcoming atmosphere. Perfect place to take my fiance for his birthday. The wings were INCREDIBLE! We will be coming back frequently and bringing friends! Definitely check the website for events because we showed up and it was a costume party, if we'd paid more attention we would've been dressed for it. They let us in anyway good good good

Great bar, drinks, pool tables, and atmosphere. I'm glad they allow smoking inside anymore. Plenty of parking and one of the best karaoke bars. Haven't tried the food, but the drinks are good.

This place is a lot of fun and we stop here often. My only concern is the auto 20% gratuity that I was charged on my tab. I don’t recall that being the case prior. I normally tip 25-30%, but just do not recall the forced gratuity prior. Always have fun here!

this was such a nice low key spot by our hotel, felt like home! the owner was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. hopefully we’ll make it back someday!

**Update: The new owner (Warren) has done a great job of revamping this bar. New decor, equipment and they are prioritizing karaoke over dance music. It’s a huge improvement from my initial experience earlier this year. Original post: Spotlight is a good place for a drunken karaoke dance party with a group or work party. Lots of people love it and have a great time. I just expected more since “karaoke bar” is in their name. If you get there early enough you may get to sing a couple songs. After 8pm they prioritize the party music vibe only and do not keep people in order and may not call you up to sing for hours or ever if your look or your song choice doesn’t fit the vibe. Just to emphasize- I arrived at 9pm and put in 3 fun up beat dance songs to sing, I always try to choose fun songs for the crowd. I sang for the first time at 10:30pm and found out at that time you could not put in multiple songs at the same time?! The KJ booth is large, completely enclosed by plastic walls and they discourage interaction at all. Also there is no monitor speaker so you’re just hearing your muffled echo of the back wall when you sing.

They take too long between songs to for the the next singer. Weve been here for 1 5 hrs and my firneds song still ahsnt been called. Top spin has singers going one after the next. There should be a queue on screen so people know when they are coming up and can be in the wing.

I have been going to Spotlight since they had the mechanical bull. I have always loved Spotlight, but it is so much more enjoyable now that smoking isn't allowed inside. It really makes a world of a difference. The owner is so awesome and is quite the singer as well! Will definitely be frequenting this bar more! Also, the karaoke contests are so much fun, the energy between everyone is amazing!

Spotlight karaoke was very fun. Most people that were there were there to have fun and enjoy themselves. There were a couple incidents while we're there but overall the atmosphere the food and the service was good. There was one bartender whose drinks were very bad compared to the other bartenders that were there. Overall though I would definitely go back.
