We went to this place after a show at the Grog Shop. It was emo night and we stayed for about an hour. It was a very fun way to end the night! The bar is right when you walk in and the place is actually pretty spacious. They even have a games area.

Nice place! Newly renovated patio! Open mic night (lyrical rhythms ) every Tuesday. I would recommend and come looking a little nice.

3 stars is for the venue. 1 star for being misled. Would have loved to come back. First time in OH, I should have asked to peak in before paying 40 dollars. Walked in and walked right out because i like to mingle and club at the same time but there were no real opportunities for mingling tonight. Requested the 40 bucks back with a promise to check the club out again...very nice lady at the door said no. She is nice but she could have asked the owner of the event first. So now I will avoid this club with no chance of giving it a second chance. Downtown west 6th street has a similar but livelier crowd.

I attended a tattoo/dance party (on my birthday which increases my frustration) that was an awful excuse for an event. We were told to show up early to get in line for tattoos. The event started at 7 and the artist didn’t even show up until 8. After waiting in line from 8-8:30 only the next person in line was told they were done accepting people, but would let them know if they decided to reopen. We waited in line until 9 (while they ignored everyone and avoided eye contact) only for them to say they wouldn’t be taking anyone else (again, only to the very next person in line). So we waited in line for 1+ hour, unable to dance, just to not get the other half of the event either. I’ve contacted multiple people to discuss this and have been left on read. I would avoid any events hosted at this venue. As someone who attends shows and other events in the Cleveland area, I’ll never spend another penny here. Trash.

Tuesday poetry has changed, not many visitors. Also, open mic starts extremely too late for my liking, not worth the $10 cover fee. The one bartender never smiled nor engaged in conversation with customers, weird.

Tuesdays for open mic are always lit! Drinks on point.

*Edit. Adding after owners response. I just didn't have time earlier when I put the stars in. I'm from out of town, I came here hoping to mingle, dance and have some down time. The basement itself, would've been perfect for underground raves if it wasn't smack in the middle of a busy street. Only a hand full of people showed up to the event I attended , and by hand full I mean literally 5 or 6 people including the bartender, and the DJ. They were also all in hipster attire, a vibe, respectable, just not my crowd. The guy who gave me my wrist band seemed to know this is a dead spot because he made the comment "hopefully more people show up tonight" before I went in. Everything was clean, the bar looked organized, but honestly there was nothing to do besides drink and watch the DJ dance to his own music. Wasn't really what I was hoping for.
