The Over Hang

I’ve been going to this bar for a while, and recently (last few times I’ve been) they update my total to include tip- but not the amount I signed for. I always leave $1-$3 (depending on how many things I’m ordering) everytime I go up and order. I’m a bartender and server too, I get it. So recently when I’ve checked my account in the morning, it’s always an extra $1- $4 extra than what I agreed to sign to. (And I know what I clearly sign for when I use my card when I am out, and as the night goes on I just use cash cause its easier. Things happen and mistakes are made but I know I clearly signed a certain amount and this is at least the tenth time this has happened to me and it’s not right. I get what they are doing when they’re entering tips, they’re doing it in small amounts so it wouldn’t be noticed- I’ve worked with someone like that before. I just don’t think this is right. So I’m avoiding this bar from now on- and I’d advise you to do the same or use cash when you’re out here.

Good service and good drinks. One of the cleanest bars in town and does not stink of stale beer, piss and vomit. One of the more reputable bars in town that doesn't cater to college students like the other bars. Fair prices and good drinks. Definitely a good happy hour bar for adults.

If I could put 0 stars I would. Why have a touch tunes box when we pay money to play music and you randomly shut it off in the middle of the songs I paid for.. Came here from Florida and will never come again with that bulls*it. There is alot of other bars around here that won’t pull that nonsense besides this one.

My friends and I were regulars at Overhang, the type of people to know all the bartenders and all the daily specials. Thought it would be a great place to celebrate a birthday for a friend. We thought wrong. We got there early so we could get a table. After about 20 minutes the owner moved my friend and I to the bar because “We are losing money with open seats”. My birthday boy and friends were literally at the bouncer. “A free round on us” was her response as we tried to tell her. Safe to say we took our free round (just me and my friend, as our friends had to leave because there was no room at the bar) and went to another bar. Won’t be spending money there again.

Underrated Gem! Got the special of the month, chipotle chicken, 10/10 definitely recommend. The quality of the bread is unmatched and so is everyone that works there. Eric, you’re doing fantastic 🙂

The pool table area is garish, but the bar is quite nicely done and very clean. Decent well drinks. (All of my Uptown bar ratings refer to when not jammed; subtract a few stars on weekends during school year)

Not a bad bar for a college town. Can't really go wrong with well drinks never more expensive than $2, and often $1.50. The bar area is pretty nice atmosphere. Not too many TV screens either.

When I came back into town on a Wednesday night around 8, I was greeted by a bouncer wearing his mask improperly. As he was looking at my fiancee's ID he spilled his drink on the floor and on our shoes. I waited for 15 minutes at the bar trying to get service and the ONE bartender on staff refused to make eye contact with me despite serving two sorority girls that got there after me. After that, I just walked out. I used to love this bar in college and it's just gone downhill.
