An LGBT icon. No glitz (well except for the ceiling). It’s been more than 30 years since I stopped in the last time for drinks with my chorus buddies (the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus). Nothing has changed, not even the soundtrack or the sound equipment. There are spirits all around. Remembering our friends who didn’t have the chance to grow old. Thank you Ty’s for keeping their memories alive!

I love going to Ty's... I am a bisexual femme, but I love meeting guys here! I get treated well, and my outfits draw wonderful attention and compliments (I am a ham, I admit it), from a number of the patrons here. I get a number of nice hugs, wonderful to receive. I'll be back- and soon!

Great place. I went to this bar during my holiday in New York. The Gin Tonic was very full of Gin and i liked it. The men at the bar were very cool, full of sympathy and handsome. Thaks for the cupcakes.

Great bar - good crowd. Loved the 70s music videos. Bartender not very friendly but oh well.
