I’ve been coming to Mass Ave for years, but this was my first time actually stopping into Metro. I ordered the steak salad, and it was delicious. I think I visited during some off hours, as we were basically the only patrons inside, but I’ve seen this place packed before, so keep in mind it can get busy. The bartender was very attentive, making sure we got exactly what we each wanted, and the atmosphere was clean. Prices are typical for Mass Ave, and while I didn’t notice a happy hour on the menu, that would definitely make it even better!

Went to Metro to celebrate a friends birthday. I had a great time as well just basically danced in the dance room for 2hrs+. The DJ was great and did even take some requests just for because it was his birthday. Probably one of the most fun time I had just dancing and celebrating with friends for a while.

I normally have a. Good time at metro but this is the 2nd weekend over the course of a month that I’ve gotten alcohol poisoning. I literally had 3 lemon drops and felt like my drink was either spiked or they’re using imitation alcohol and what I mean by that is filling their bottles up with cheap liquor. being sick off 3 lemon drops for 2 days is crazy so it’s something in the drinks Depending the night you go you may be charged $30 at the door which I think is crazy for metro !

Loved going back in 2022-23, but things have really changed. They changed the food (including their Mac & cheese which used to be amazing). The crowd isn’t nearly as LGBTQ+ friendly. Tonight we went and waited 45 min for someone to come take our food order on the patio and ended up just leaving. Previously, there was a QR code we could scan and order, but not anymore. There didn’t used to be a cover but now there is (in the past if there was a cover it was at least donated). I hope things start looking up, bc this used to be my favorite LGBTQ+ bar.

Metro use to be the pulse of the people. It’s under new management now who have instituted a cover and make folks wait out in the cold to give the appearance of a packed house. Metro used to be the place where Black and other marginalized people congregated, but those day are no more. Save yourself time and disappointment and go to Tini’s or Ivy. It’s the same building, but not the same place. So sad.
