Jake n JOES Sports Grille - Waltham

I do love an American sports bar. Visited on Labor Day. The bar’s pretty decent. The servers were not as attentive as I’m used to in the US. Especially the wait for the bill was a bit tedious. The food was fine, not the best I’ve tasted, but it was alright.

One of the better Jake n Joe's in the area. Worth skipping a few of the other JnJ chains just to go to this one. Found it to be much cleaner, better wait staff, and food quality is definitely better. 4 stars for the atmosphere, no good sports on, so place wasn't buzzin like it would normally.

Great spot to catch any game you want. Plenty of screens and food options to please the whole crew. Ended up eating the wings with JB sauce and can’t say I want to have it again. Was a light time when we visited but nice atmosphere with other shops and restaurant around.

Packed on a Saturday night, but the service was quick and attentive. The steak tips were cooked to a perfect medium rare and melt in your mouth. Only weird thing is that they had the Alabama game on the speakers instead of the Bruins game. I felt like I was back down South, hockey playing second fiddle to college football. Kind of weird, but the food is good.

Good food and service, but their changing policies were quite disappointing. Wednesday's half-price burger night, still advertised on their website, now has become (unannounced) just $5 off PLUS you have to be a member. We did not find any of this out until we got the bill, and the manager who claimed he was new and did not know anything just gave us a small discount and did not allow us to create a membership and get our full discount. This new management is not making for a better experience beyond the good food and pleasant atmosphere.

The Weston High School class of 1984 had a fabulous evening celebrating our reunion weekend kick off event at Jake & JOES. Sam and the entire staff were easy to work with and provided wonderful service, food & beverage!

I got the pilgrim egg rolls. There was hardly any meat or stuffing in them. I did hear back from the manager, and he not only refunded the cost of the food, but gave me a gift card worth $25 to have a meal on them. That was very generous of him. Thank you very much.

Jake and Joe’s is exactly what a bar/restaurant should be. It has a lot of TVs, ample beer selection, and good bar type food. I’m not going to say it’s fantastic food but it’s good. From dates to meeting friends to reliving your childhood trauma with a family member this place works. The staff are always incredibly attentive and friendly. It’s easy to get to off of 95 and has plenty of parking.
