Hops On Birch

What a fabulous way to end our trip in Arizona - we happened upon Hops On Birch and enjoyed an evening of great beer and conversation. The owner Shep along with Eli, where knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. Thanks for topping our trip off…. Highly recommend this establishment for anyone who is looking for fine craft beer!!!

Great beer selection, friendly staff, and dog-friendly atmosphere! This local tap room is a fantastic spot to try a wide variety of beers. They have something for everyone, whether you're a craft beer aficionado or just looking for a casual drink. It's owned by a lovely local couple and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to recommend a beer based on your preferences. Best of all, it's a smoke-free environment on the patio, which makes for a much more enjoyable experience. Plus, you can bring your furry friend along – they're dog (and duck) friendly!

Now that Hops is locally again this is one of my favorite spots to go to! They often have live music or some sort of theme every night. My friend and I go to Hops regularly for an after work beer and love it!

Loved this place in the past, but my recent experience on 9/16/24 changed that - my partner asked to sample a pickle beer, and when the bartender poured it into the small sample glass, a large mass of yeast came out of the line. The glass had a very clearly obvious disgusting yeast blob in it. He tried to give it to my partner anyway. I noticed, said that wasn't cool, and he then apologized and offered to pour another sample (FROM THE SAME LINE!) into a different glass. I said no. I worked pouring beer and maintaining a couple dozen kegs in the past. You're supposed to clean the lines out every once in a while. For a yeast blob to form AT ALL, you need to let it get pretty bad. Seriously disgusting and the bartender acted like it was normal. Cannot go here or recommend this place anymore.

Nice place, good selection of beer on tap and a tiny fridge of cans including Athletic NA beer. Our large party grabbed the big table in the middle without issue. I was looking specifically for local IPAs and I actually don't recall their being many Flagstaff beers at all ... which I guess is good if you live there and want something different!

Usually something fun going on there every night and a really good beer selection. Fun place to hang out inside or on their patio.

A chill vibe, really. A Modelo drinker so I liked the Verde "Gold Buckle" a blond at 5.2% ABV. Light, but also robust. Not earthy. Shout out to Grant for great service.

Good beer, dog friendly, bring in your own food. We appreciated using this as a pit stop to get out of the sun with our dog - they’re welcome indoors here.
