The Cabin Whiskey & Grill

We decided to stop by on a whim this weekend and it was a great experience for us. Parking was a bit of a nightmare with the farmers market, but after a few minutes we found a spot and went inside to check them out. They have a great indoor outdoor seating area. With not one but two bars. One is outside to enjoy the patio. Service was good and the location clean. Multiple TVs playing sports. We ordered a little of everything from wings to a burger. My burger was good and the jam kicked it up a notch, fries were crispy which I loved as well. BLT had a bit too much h mayo, but bacon was good and bread toasted well. Good selection of beers on tap if you wanted to just enjoy a few drinks.

I drove an hour from Chandler to checkout this place for the first time last night and loved it. The modern cabin-like atmosphere and friendly service make for a great hangout spot. They have an amazing selection of food on their menu. I got the Cabin Mac & Cheese and it was one of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

Rustic decor, friendly staff. It has a sports bar feel but looks like you're at a cabin. My only complaint about the environment was that it was extremely hot inside, the had a huge industrial fan in a corner but it seemed there was no AC and the fan didn't help where we sat. Not sure if this was a one time thing or if that's normal, but I was literally sweating and put my hair up in a pony tail to try to keep cool. That said, the service was good, our waitress did forget our appetizer but she took responsibility and said she forgot to put in the order (instead of blaming the kitchen) and apologized. The food portions were much bigger than we an.ticipated so we didn't need nor want an appetizer anymore anyway so it worked out. We ordered tacos (not pictured), Burger and nachos. All came out fast and fresh. Adorable for the size you get. Would come here again, but probably when it's cooler outside just in case the AC isn't working because that made it almost unbearable.

The poutine fries were pretty good. My wife enjoyed the Chicken Cobb Salad and enjoyed it. I can't recommend the Baja fish tacos. They were just boring and unflavorful, and the "spicy slaw" was exactly that, slaw covered in some boring spice. There also wasn't any sauce on the taco besides a little drizzle on the avocado on top. It may have been better if I got the correct salsa it was supposed to cometacks. They really should reevaluate the recipe for these tacos. The service was great. I just wish I got the burger instead of the fish tacos.

The Cabin Whiskey and Grill is located in the Park West complex in Peoria, right off of the 101 and Northern. Inside the cabin theme is all throughout the restaurant. You're greeted by a standing grizzly and walls of wood. A large bar is the centerpiece with pine trees painted all around, and a stack of cut firewood sits to the side. Outside has another bar as the center with tables and high tops all around the spacious patio. Being a whiskey lover in a whiskey bar, I ordered the blackberry sour and was not disappointed. (It's the closest drink I've found to my favorite Sinatra Smash that serves as the featured drink of the Wynn in Vegas). We shared the torpedos as our app. They are jalapeno poppers but made with the full pepper and come with a spicy dippng ranch. My fish tacos were very good, and the nachos were topped with perfectly grilled flavorful chicken. It's a cool spot for a larger group. It's always a plus for us when the kids have room to move so the adults can enjoy some beverages and conversation. I suggest sunset on the patio with family and friends.

Berry Martini was excellent. The jalapeño torpedos were so-so. The rest of the food was good.

Everything is amazing about this place. Took some out of town friends here and they loved it so much. They went back for a second time with other friends! Highly recommend the chicken strip board. I really think it feeds eight people instead of 4 to 6 . There's so much and it was such a great deal. Also, the bacon cheese fries were so good! Definitely don't skip on this restaurant!

Plenty of seating outside and inside. Liked how unique this place felt along with the cabin feel. We went after the Cardinals game, not too far from State Farm so that was a plus. Food was good, service was decent, my friend got fish and fries plate and said could have been crispier, overall good experience.
