HULA'S Modern Tiki Uptown

Used to be a big fan of Hula's and the last couple of times, seems to be going downhill. The food has become MEH and the service was quite bad. Cocktails are the star of the show, however. Vibe is still cool, love the inside/outside options and feel. We had a mix of appetizers for our group of 6 and nothing was spectacular IMO other than the drinks. All the fried items were bland and overcooked. Service was BAD. Not that they were not friendly but rather you had to constantly ask to have dirty dishes removed, waters refilled, and flag them down to order more food or drinks. I would not be harsh about this if they were busy, but they were not and mostly standing around. ➡️ Ate: Tofu Tacos (held the aioli), Crispy Fish Bites, Crispy Coconut Shrimp rolls, Sweet Potato Fries, Side Salad. ➡️ Drinks: Mai Tai, Tiki Bastard, Wine, Sodas.

We were in town for a conference and a friend recommended Hula's. The atmosphere was fun, modern, and quiet. We came for lunch and had great food and service. The entire team is quick and super friendly. Our absolute favorite was the poke tacos. Overall, it's a great place, and next time I'm in town, I will definitely come back!

I absolutely loved the food. I got the jerk chicken and my sister got the pork. We also got the ribs. The chicken and pork were amazing, the ribs were not the best. I loved the plantains and the bread my meal came with. The Mac salad wasn't the absolute best but it wasn't inedible. Our server wasn't very attentive so I wish that was a bit better.

Food is always scrumptious! Can't ever pass up the Johnny cakes and some fried plantains... I always order extra to take home! Service is always friendly and they go the extra mile. Fun vibe, good cocktails too. Can get busy in the evenings and weekends so book a table.... Otherwise easy place to just walk in for lunch.

Love this location. The vibe is great and the room we sat in felt so cozy. Service with Casey (sp?) was great. Very accommodating from the host to the runners. Food is very good. Samurai Beef Sticks are so good. All night Happy Hour on Wednesdays is great. Large Bar with seating all the way around and a variety of other seating options including a nice patio with fire pit for those chilly nights. Decent amount of parking (Scott’s next door is open after 5 if needed).

Great spot! Got the martini - first one was perfect, second one was a bit tart - and a margarita. For food we shared the wings, beef sticks, burger sliders, and fries. Everything was tasty. The only thing that was just okay was the sliders, I wouldn’t order them again. The wings, beef sticks, and fries were incredible though! Loved their hula sauce. Highly recommend and would go again.

I seriously love Hula’s. This year, it has become my go to happy hour Thursday and Saturday lunch restaurant. The food is consistently delicious. The drinks are strong, and the edamame’s super spicy. The best part is that it’s consistently good - I have never had an off experience, and I have been to three in the Valley. High Street is by far my favorite. It’s a good place to sit on the patio after the sun goes down and have a drink with friends. A couple of the places on High Street are kinda bougie, but Hula’s has a very cool energy.

Had my old Hula Burger it was so Good! Also had a Blood Orange Martini, pictured in photo was not blood orange or was citron and 7, Absolutely Delicious! I never had one before and it was so good. I don't drink often, more rarely but this was really tasty! Dana check FB messages!
