The Cove

Sorry for the Karen review. But honestly have never felt more uncomfortable in a restaurant than we did at the cove today. We have loved the coves food in the past but sadly I don’t think we will ever be returning. We made a reservation and brought our family in for dinner, we had 2 kids with us. One of which required a high chair. The host was extremely rude when showing us to our table, never offering a highchair or even speaking to us. We sat at the table waiting to be served or greeted. Still no one came. My husband went to the bartender to inquire about a high chair. We sat there entertaining our two children for over 20 minutes past our reservation time with still no one even acknowledging our presence. We made eye contact with several servers in hopes that they could come address our table. But we were still completely ignored. Other tables around us even started saying things to us about how we weren’t being served. Is this because we brought two well behaved children with us? 30 minutes past our reservation time with still no greeting or server we decided to leave. We felt completely invisible. It is unfortunate that your customer service is so terrible because your food is actually good. I recommend that you do not bring your kids here because clearly they are not welcome. And don’t even come here if you want good good service or even general decency.

Walked into this clean and crisp vibe! I immediately loved the tall chairs and tables! I asked for water with lemon and mint, and the bartender muddled the mint for me which definitely added to the awesomeness of my first time being here and the delicious food! I order the Crispy Cajun Brussels and the Shrimp Street Tacos. The Brussels were great and more than enough to share if you're not eating alone. Nice little kick off heat and a small hint of sweetness. I'll order these every time I come here. The tacos were fresh and well prepared! I look forward to trying the dinner options the next time I'm here! Did I mention I'll be back?!! Lol

I was never at the Cove. I had family From out of town. We wanted to try it I understand it’s one of York Counties favorites. We went for a late lunch early dinner. Approximately at 2:30 pm. No trouble being seated. A total of five plus one child under 2 yrs of age. Our server was Bill. He had been very knowledgeable of items in the menu. Made nice gentle suggestions for food selections. But not pushy what so ever. Our party of five order one of every appetizers. All were very delicious. I had ordered Fish and Chips for my meal Selections. A large piece of battered dip Haddock was placed on a bed of fries served with coles slaw and my choice of sauce was tater sauce. My dish and others in the party was raving of how delicious their choice of dinner were. At that time the crowd was lite. A very welcoming atmosphere was experienced. Highly recommend to try the Cove. Our party was seated at the large Windows in the front. I enjoyed my first dining experience at the Cove. Before leaving we were giving a nice tour of the newly addition to the dining room and also a tour across the bridge towards the back of the dining room. Where outside dining could be arranged. This is definitely one of York Counties hidden gems. I highly jrecommend for you to visit. Request to be served by Bill. He was an excellent server. He paid attention to details while not being over bearing or pushy. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. ️

Awesome restaurant/bar with a very pretty outside area overlooking a babbling creek with lush, green foliage. I have never had a bad meal here and they have really great, crispy fries!

Loved visiting this restaurant for lunch. A secluded area away from the hussel of York City downtown, friendly staff, beautiful outdoor seating and good food/drinks. Best kept secret in york for sure

Great food! Steak and crab cake, bacon jam fillet and scallops, steak and shrimp wrap, cheese steak egg rolls, scallops, and more. The best selection in Scotch and whiskey in the area. Oh, did I mention the Whiskey and cigar bar, non-smoking indoor dining and outdoor dining year round? This is a must visit place for food and relaxation therapy.

The place was great, I hate saying it’s better than I expected but it was way better than I expected! Great service very friendly, and the food speaks for itself!

Tom our waiter was very knowledgeable on the food choices. The food was prepared and delivered quickly. They worked with my wife's specific dietary requirements. Food was delicious. This was our first visit and will definitely be back for a date night dinner.
