Really happy we stumbled upon this place while visiting for the weekend. The bartender Barry was beyond amazing. He made great cocktails and checked in on us multiple times to make sure we were still doing good. Also the food is exceptional one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. I had the elk burger and it was cooked perfectly. All around great atmosphere, definitely stop in if your in the area!

The service was good, but I just can't pay that much for food that is just blah. Basic bar food. There was a time where, at least for me, that it was one of my favorite places to eat in my hometown. I'll go for drinks but no more menu items for me.

Had a great experience at the Black Dog last Friday! I got the special burger for the evening with sweet potato fries, and I was not disappointed. I loved how the peanut sauce worked so well with the bacon jam on the burger, never would have that of that. The service was great, and the so were the drinks. I highly recommend the "Cool Shorts" cocktail. So refreshing with summer season coming. Will definitely be back!

It took 25 min for our food to come out. While the plate I ordered sat in the window until the other order got finished. Waitress came and took my husbands cup to refill his water and it took her 10 min. I was going to take the rest of my food home and when I placed my onion rings in the box one was left in the plate with fuzz and hair wrapped around it. Like it had been sitting on the floor for a while. Needless to say, I don’t recommend this bar and grill.

Elk burger with cranberry jelly and fries was tasty. Restaurant recently changed ownership and name to Black Bear. Great service and hospitality.

Fun cozy atmosphere but really not a great restaurant. Just a place to get drinks. We waited over 45 minutes for two burgers and fries and there was just one other table. Also the order was wrong but I didn’t want to wait another hour for them to fix it. For good burgers go to Underbelly instead.
