Iron Bay Restaurant in Marquette is truly a fantastic dining experience! Situated right along the waterfront, the views of Lake Superior are absolutely breathtaking, especially if you get a seat by the window or on the patio. The blend of historic charm and modern touches in the decor makes the atmosphere warm, comfortable, and uniquely Marquette. The menu offers a wonderful selection of dishes that highlight local flavors and ingredients. I decided to try the whitefish tacos, and they were nothing short of amazing—perfectly seasoned, fresh, and paired with a delightful slaw that added a nice crunch. My friend opted for the Yooper Pasty, a classic choice that was both hearty and delicious, with a rich, flavorful filling. What really stood out to us was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. They made excellent suggestions, were prompt with refills, and checked in regularly to ensure we were having a great experience. It was clear they genuinely cared about their guests, which made our visit even more memorable. We also decided to try a couple of their craft cocktails, and they were fantastic! The bartender really knows how to mix drinks that are both creative and well-balanced. We ended our meal with their cheesecake, and it was the perfect indulgence—creamy and delicious. Iron Bay is a must-visit if you’re in Marquette. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you’ll love the combination of great food, a beautiful view, and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful place to dine in Marquette. We sat outside and enjoyed the views of the bay with our delicious meal. We ordered the whitefish dip, side salad, blue cheese burger, and pickled veggies. It hit the spot on a hot summer day. The food was fresh and had great flavor. I particularly enjoyed the watermelon rind and house made crackers! The only thing we found odd was the 4% surcharge to give their employees a better wage. Shouldn’t that be included in the price of food? This means that your bill will be 24% higher (assuming you give the standard tip). Our food and service was great and worth it either way. Just a heads up!

Fantastic meal and service. Everything was above average but the whitefish tater tots stole the show. The Whitefish taco’s and lemon soup also shined well in addition. Ellie & Nicole in tap room were phenomenal jn their hospitality. A decent tip… eat in taproom whenever packed (which it was at 5pm on a Sunday!) to get easy in and out!

This is a great spot to eat. Nice atmosphere and beautiful view of the bay while dining. They have indoor and outdoor seating depending on the weather. I was absolutely blown away by the cranberry chicken panini. 10/10 must try.

I recently visited the Iron Bay Restaurant at 105 E Washington St, in Marquette, MI. The restaurant is at a great location in a very interesting building with a beautiful decor overlooking the lake. I say at the bar and my attendant was there for me helping me make a beer selection as well as one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. The chicken cherry panini was awesome. I would make this a top choice to visit if anywhere near.

Incredible food and service. What to get: GET THE TOTS. The tots are insane. Very impressed with the poutine as well. Cost: $20-30 per person What to know: You’ll have great service from super friendly locals. You really can’t go wrong with the beer selection and food options here. Came in with a large group of guys for a bachelor party, and they accommodated us no problem. Might be the best food in Marquette.

The food was very tasty, even the black pepper fries. Veggies were fresh, very impressive if they are not locally grown. The people there were friendly. There was a little wait for the table and seemed under staffed.

It does not get better than this! I love this place and have seen it turnover so many times, this is it! The view on the patio and eating right in front of Lake Superior. The food is fantastic, the drinks are unique, and what else can you ask for? I highly recommend the whitefish dip, watermelon salad, whitefish chowder, and whitefish tacos. Fresh, delicious, refreshing, especially for the summer. Everything our party of four ordered was enjoyed. Great job and eco-friendly, too.
