Dropped in for karaoke and had such an amazing time! A great place to meet people, have fun, and unwind! The diverse and unique drink menu offers something for everyone, and the seating along the front allows for great people watching! In addition to the extensive karaoke selection, there is a pool table, as well as a dartboard. Couldn’t ask for anything more- we can’t wait to come back!

You get free entry but you must buy one drink. I went here on comedy night.....there where about 15 people performing for about 10-15 minutes a piece. The comedians are newbies that's up and coming. But I enjoyed it.....there is also a special day for people with dogs. The martinis are decent too....they have something called the passport award if you drink so many.

One of my favorite dive bars in Lakeview. The energy at this bar is incredible and karaoke almost every night is so much fun. They also have pool, darts and good vibes. Grab a group of close friends and drink and sing the night away!

Shakers is classic. Great drinks, but it's really the staff that make this place great! (no food there, but you can bring food in. They do have free popcorn!)

I came for an event & found out that this place offers so many fun events and games! They have a great mocktail menu. The seedlip cosmo was fantastic. I’m so pleased as someone who doesn’t drink alcohol and wants to go out and have a good time. I brought over my burger from Clark Street Dog since Shakers doesn’t serve food. I was so happy this bar makes it easy to eat and drink here. From the photos and events they host, it seems like there’s a great community here, and I could see this as a third space for me in the future

place has a cringe John Waters interior, the bartender can be pretty obnoxious, and to top it off bad service. Waiting to get a drink and the bartender kept talking about the popcorn and we clearly didn't care. also forgot to pour us our shots of malort for a solid 30 minutes, gave us a half pour and still charged full price.

One drink minimum per person. Drink prices weren’t listed anywhere and, compared to surrounding bars, turns out it was on the pricey end. But that’s not the reason for the low review. There was a very weird atmosphere due to the bouncer. The bouncer seemingly does not have security training. I personally didn’t have any issues with him, but it’s the way he interacted with other patrons that was appallingly upsetting and unprofessional. When it came to kicking out a rule breaking white man, the bartender had to be the one telling the bouncer to kick him out, and the bouncer very quietly kicked the guy out. But with non-white, non-men? Sadly, he was lashing out and used no deescalation skills. He was at full 100 aggression from the start. And I wanna make it clear, I don’t disagree with the act of kicking out, BUT I was very peeved by how the bouncer went about it. The white guy getting kicked out was the only respectful interaction I saw. These people were just rule breaking, slightly annoying but non-threatening patrons; the bouncer was not protecting anyone or himself from imminent danger or harm. Ultimately, especially after reading the other low star reviews too, this is not the best place for women or POC, sadly. I wouldn’t tell my white guy friends to come by either though. I wanted to enjoy my time here, but I don’t see myself coming back unfortunately.

I love Shakers! They have a wide variety of drinks and flavors so you can find something no matter what you're craving! The hurricanes are particularly dangerously delicious! And, of course, karaoke begins at 10pm on the weekends, which is always a good time. The bartenders are super nice and attentive. The bar also has darts and a self serve popcorn machine! The bathrooms and bar area are always clean, too. And there are plenty of stalls so there isn't typically a line even when they're busy.
