The Oak House

Loved this coffee shop/bar/meeting place. They have a variety of spaces for coffee and a wine/beer bar all in one. The coffee tasted great and they showcase local food and talent. Highly recommend.

I love to support local businesses but I recommend NEVER coming here. When we walked in the barista looked like he was inconvenienced to even take our order. One of our drinks didn’t taste right and we asked if we could get it remade and we would pay the difference. I understand it’s not convenient to remake a drink but, seriously? I was actually shocked by the lack of customer service. So disappointed by this experience and I genuinely hope this was a one off for the sake of this business. Do better.

I visited this restaurant this morning to redeem a coupon and try out their coffee. This mornings drip coffee was the medium blend. I had a banana nut muffin as well. The coffee tasted very good. However, the muffin was crumbly, dry and didn't have very much banana bread taste to it at all. The establishment was very clean and we were greeted kindly and served well. I would like to come back and try some other foods and coffee they have here. It was delightful to visit here.

This is the worst coffee shop I have ever been to. The service was awful and the coffee beans had obviously went bad because my friends cold brew tasted RANCID and SOUR!! The matcha I got was extremely pale in color and tasted like dirty spinach water?? The guy working looked like he wanted us to leave and hated his job, if I were his employer I’d be embarrassed for hiring someone so rude. The guy wouldn’t remake my friends drink even though he gave her a drink with very clearly expired ingredients, with that being said I’m pretty sure a cold brew shouldn’t be a yellowish clear color!!

Staff is so incredibly rude, it's ridiculous. Customer service employees should know how to handle a rush. I understand it gets busy and you might be overwhelmed, but that does not give staff the right to be rude to customers. Do better. It's unfortunate because The Oak House is one of the cooler spots in Elon, and I'm sad to say I will not continue to give them my business. One too many bad experiences.

Great place for some quick food or drink, the hot chocolate is tasteful yet very affordable for a small cup. Atmosphere is nice and decorative with no loud music except on weekend nights. Very much an Elon treasure and a cool place to visit overall.

Great coffee/wine/beer and music option super close to Elon Campus. Latte well prepared and pre-packaged breakfast food items good quality and tasty! Very welcoming and great service.

Their caramel macchiato is my absolute favorite anywhere. Not too sweet and just the right amount of caramel...unlike others where you can't even taste the coffee anymore. Great for study sessions...but don't park there because the library is better for that kind of stuff. Be considerate.
