Sycamore Bar + Flower Shop

I absolutely love Sycamore's sister bar the Rusty Nail over on Foster Avenue, so I wanted to give this place a shot. The last time I stopped in was to get flowers for my mother for Mother's Day. The flowershop portion of the establishment is a bit costly, but the arrangements you get are really beautiful. On my recent visit, I came in for a couple of drinks. I really don't understand some of the negative reviews about the service and the quality of the drinks. My bartender, whom I didn't get a chance to get her name, was friendly, and she really put together a couple of great cocktails for me. My painkiller cocktail alone had plenty of rum that as soon as you put your nose to the glass, you can smell it. The prices for drinks are pretty standard, and they don't serve food like their sister bar. They do, however, allow you to bring your own. You can either sit out front, inside the bar, or outside in the garden area. Overall, based on my experience, this bar is a very chill place to just hang out and grab a quick drink, and I will definitely stop in again in the future.

Went there on a Sunday night and as much as people were trying to have fun, the bartenders were not fun at all. Been there done that kind of attitude. I even tried to engage with one of the bartenders while the other one was on his phone but to no avail. It does seem like a really cool place to have drinks though. If you don't need the bartender interaction,it looks like a cool place.

Bartender didn't state their name but made great drinks! Great environment, the bar didn't have a flower vibe. Would definitely come back again though. I look forward to the ever changing cocktails and ingenuity!

This bar has no food, so can’t say about food, but they allow outside food which is a plus. Drinks take long to make and are weak. We had few drinks, including a classic old fashioned, color looked off and weak drink and they are not cheap. The good thing about it is its backyard with good vibe to chat. Bar has many themes for different nights, or day of the month, such as drag bingo night, taro card reading night and others. If you like to join different activities, it would be good for you since it’s pretty local and close to the train station.

It's a cool spot. The inside is a bit cramped and dark, but the backyard is expansive. Good brews on tap and bottle / can. The flower shop is by day, but they still have a beer and bouquet special for $10 if you need something to explain you stop by the bar. Also, lots of themed nights going on.

A perfect bar - seriously. Great beer selection with a wide range of brews beyond the typical hoppy IPA. Good selection of cans extends to international brewers as well! The cocktails looked lovely though I didn’t try one. The space is delightful both inside and out - super comfy and picturesque at the same time with an enormous back garden filled with plants. The service is wonderful too. As if it needed to get better, they also serve bites to eat from the next door Farm on Adderley.

Amazing drinks! However the bartender was not so nice. We were sitting in the backyard area and having a smoke while enjoying our drink; dudes comes in and asks us to not smoke and there was guys that were sitting near the indoor space and smoking openly, this guy decided to tell us to stop and did not tell the other guys to stop. We were in the wrong but there was no spots all the way in the back. I can not comprehend if it was a racist thing or not but the guy def was douch so we left the bar after one drink.

Was out having a nice night with my husband and a friend. When my husband stepped out, a regular at the bar sat himself down and proceeded to hit on us, insult us, etc. We tried to set boundaries but he wouldn't back off, and insulted us and our fanilies. When we eventually told him off and moved to the backyard, others who knew him were out there and while they acted sympathetic, it became clear that they all knew each other and were friendly with one of the bartenders. They all knew who had bothered us and said he had done it before. Really sad to cross this off our list of neighborhood bars but it's not a safe or comfortable space to hang out anymore. They have a Darryl problem.
