We were absolutely thrilled to work with Jess at Moreland’s Tavern for our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks. Jess was fantastic from start to finish, helping us create the perfect event and menu while staying within our budget. The upstairs of the restaurant was set up beautifully for our party, complete with a photo slideshow of us playing on the TVs, which added a nice personal touch. The dinner was delicious, and our rehearsal dinner guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the roasted chicken was! After the sit-down dinner, Jess and her team seamlessly transitioned the space into a more casual area where the rest of our guests could mix and mingle, complete with an open bar and light snacks. The bartenders, Jess and Max, were absolute pros—our guests certainly kept them busy and they did an amazing job keeping us and everyone happy throughout the night. Jess and the team at Moreland’s Tavern made our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks unforgettable. As our neighbors up the street, we are so glad Moreland’s was a part of our wedding weekend as a favorite neighborhood spot we can revisit again and again. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great event venue with top-notch service!

The food was good. However, in our experience the service was lacking attention and sub par. The Food: Mussels in a white wine sauce were fairly good, questionable freshness among a few, but large in size and tasty. The wings were a little crispy, but had a good Buffalo flavor. The Lion’s Mane “Crab cake” was a well done version of a vegan crab cake with mushroom. I was surprised with the comparable consistency to a real crab cake. The Service: Being in the service industry myself, I give a lot of leeway. However, we were greeted by one server who took our apps and disappeared, then was doing what looked like to be roll ups at the table behind us and stopped serving us to maybe take a break. Another server picked up our table after 15-20 minutes of just waiting to be served/refilled, acted like nothing happened, and finally took our main course order. Very disappointed and unprofessional even if it was a shift change. One last small note, a full tavern should have something simple like soda guns. I was charged $4 per can of soda with no refills. Seems a bit odd and pricey at a tavern.

A good neighborhood spot to hang out, potentially drinks and bar food. The outdoor space is great so on those nice days this is the go to spot. The food is a bit lackluster, however I only had the wings and fries. I will be back to try other things and will update as necessary. Everyone is friendly and the service is really good.

Great food with a great atmosphere. Food is a combination of modern comfort foods that hit the spot right on the head. Drinks were refreshing and the staff were kind and insightful.

We had a poor experience at this restaurant, unfortunately. Our waitress, Whitney, was very rude to us and the food was just not great. My boyfriend ordered a smash burger, but it wasn’t a smash burger at all. The patty was not smashed; it was more of a medium-sized patty. The burger patty was simultaneously overcooked, dry, underseasoned, and lacked any sear (which is characteristic of a smash burger). We got a to-go box regardless. Our waitress, Whitney, was incredibly rude. She brought us a comically small container, and when my boyfriend said, “I don’t think I can fit the burger in here,” she replied, “Why don’t you try, and if it doesn’t work, I’ll bring another one,” then stormed off. When she returned, he tried to politely explain that the burger was severely overcooked and not a smash burger. He really was polite about it too. She was so rude that I was shocked by the experience. She slapped her hand on her leg, threw her hand in the air dramatically, interrupted him, and said, “Well, that’s the way we’ve always done it here, so if you don’t like it, maybe don’t order it next time,” before storming off again. The entire time, she was dismissive and displayed annoyance at anything we asked, including questions about my food allergies. We paid $24 for a dry burger and a side of fries. Our terrible customer service obviously made the whole dinner disappointing. I also paid to have chicken added to my salad, and it was very dry as well. We were really excited to try this place. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, we will not be back due to the terrible burger and the poor customer service we received from Whitney.

One of the best burgers I've had in a while! My partner and I stopped by for a late lunch and I got the smash burger with tots and was just blown away by the quality of the meat and the overall balance of flavors! The flourless cake for dessert was super rich too. Great food plus great and friendly staff means I definitely have to come back and try more of the menu!

Moreland’s Tavern is a local treasure. It’s great for a beer or dinner and has great staff and ambience. My husband and I had our wedding celebration here, with 150 guests and a band upstairs. The staff were terrific, very easy to work with, and very accommodating of requests, and made the event extra special with terrific service and decorations that transformed the charming tavern into a magical wedding venue. Highly recommend for a night out or an event, including a wedding-related one.

It's a really nice place, located near residential areas. The staff is super nice and kind. They offer draft beer so you have the choice to ask for a free sample of each one before ordering. Food is nothing out of the ordinary, but was really good and fast. One way of describing food is "what you are used to, but in a better way. The only downside is that you have to make reservations to dine inside, otherwise you have to stay at the bar.
