Alibi Bar & Place

I don't know why a couple of people gave this bar one star. I've been visiting this bar several times. In fact, this is the only bar I visit when I'm staying in Salt Lake City. This bar is even better than the bar at the Grand America Hotel. The bartenders are friendly and the prices are excellent. The atmosphere is completely chill. This is a 5-star bar. I travel all across the nation and this bar is one of the best. Keep up the good work.

This is a cute little bar to stop at and have a drink or two before you make your way to the club! The Staff are friendly, bar is clean, and they have cute cocktails. I really liked the “Little Miss Sunshine” and “Boy Dinner” cocktails that I had.

Stopped by because it looked cute. It is cute! Tiny but mighty. I immediately felt comfortable. Staff was lovely. Most important was that I felt so nice being here. We will definitely be back.

Alibi is a truly beautiful, small bar with unique cocktails & great service. They don't serve food, but they do allow you to bring in outside food as we brought in a cake for a birthday and the bartenders happily joined in to sing happy birthday. The cocktails they created were so unique and well thought out. They took their time to create them and chat during the creation of them. The bar top was clean and beautifully laid out. This is a great spot to get a drink & relax! Would highly recommend & will be back!

I was passing by Alibi on Saturday night when a group of us saw a dog in a hot car. I didn’t want to jump the gun and report it without seeing if anyone knew what the situation was. Since the car was directly in front of the bar, we asked the bouncer at Alibi if he knew anything about the dog. The woman in glasses sitting next to him (I’m assuming fellow bouncer), became hostile and annoyed we asked saying “do we look like the police to you!?” She continued to be beyond rude and angry for no reason and yelling at us. I have never been treated that way for simply asking a concerning question in my life. Our group of friends are regulars of the bar and some are friends with other employees and owners as well. If that bouncer is working there, we will not be supporting any longer. Absolutely ridiculous behavior.

DO NOT GO HERE! My friend ordered 2 drinks and was charged a price and I ordered the same 2 drinks and was up charged and when I checked my bank app a few days later I saw that the bartender had given himself a hefty tip on the receipt and stole money from me. I went back in person and an employee told me to just call my bank for a dispute. I spoke to the manager and she sounded like she didn’t give 2 cents about what I was telling her. I asked what repercussions will be taken and she told me she doesn’t believe her staff would do that. She never replied back to my email, never called me back, & did not give me a refund. I definitely did NOT give a $95 tip! I’m sure if they did this to me they are doing this to a lot of customers. This place should be out of business for committing fraud. If you go here pay in cash and keep all receipts if using card so you can have proof of them stealing. Highly disappointed by this experience.

Would give 0/0. The bouncer exhibited an incredibly unprofessional attitude, chatting with her friend on FaceTime while handling our IDs. To top it off, she made a point of calling both my friends and I unattractive. The redhead & the tattooed bouncer! Do better babes!

Can't speak highly enough of Alibi! We entered later in the evening, just before 9pm, on a Sunday of a long weekend. There was patrons, but it was relaxed and orderly (no doubt due to the smooth and comfortable music they played). I requested an off-menu drink (nothing fancy, just a pisco sour - but with egg white sours) and was tended to very graciously by Jared. The drink was phenomenal, well-priced for a top-shelf custom cocktail, and produced in a timely manner. The decor in Alibi is beautifully designed, and exactly the type of inoffensive, trendy but timeless, crowd pleasing patterns and materials you want to see in a good cocktail bar. Finally! The food! We ordered the street corn, so just one item. But it was served quickly and it was SO GOOD. If you're in SLC, this is a must-visit.
