Fat Boyz Grill & Bar

Sam was our server and as a first time patron of Fat Boyz in Kearney, downtown, we had a blast and the food was AMAZING. This is totally our kind of place: locally owned and operated, excellent customer service, hot and fresh food, a fun atmosphere, Mizzou and Cardinals fans :). We were very excited to come and see the band tonight and try someplace new. But even though they had seat yourself, open seating and get to know your neighbor signs posted HALF the dining area was reserved and we only could stand. Further some staff were nasty about us standing NEAR the reserved tables. The waitress that attempted to help us clearly was overwhelmed, although she was kind amidst the not great situation. The acoustics from the band sounded really good, but the people capacity limit was definitely exceeded and was not helped by the aforementioned reservation... that had almost an entire table with no one. Further, it said the reservation was at 6... We arrived at 8. As a local, I'm very dissatisfied with this experience. We ended up canceling our order and leaving after 30 minutes of standing in the middle of the seating area. We noted several other people who were having similar situations like ours tonight, and we spoke about it. Hopefully, this review brings some positive changes for them.

Can you stop and hear the other night, Sunday. Sam and her staff were amazing! We've been traveling for a long time, and needed someplace to eat, Sam and her kitchen staff were more than accommodating. Great small town bar atmosphere. Stop for the friendly staff and atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.

Food was typical bar food, nothing really special there. But the service and the atmosphere more than made up for it. The bar hop was swamped with close to 40 people. She never lost her cool and kept everyone topped off. The crowd was friendly, and the music was lively. Next time I'm in Kearney, I'll definitely stop in!!

Good food pretty loud though but it is a sports bar, overall not bad. just got to like sports lol

I found the place and the food very nice. As we say in my country , Rich and the attention.... the very kind lady, she even prepared my special drink, Coffee with whiskey and cream baileys

Cheesecurds were overcooked and tasted gross. The Philly sandwich was good. The service could have been better as our server was busy talking with all the regulars, and we fogotten for a little while.

Love this place!!! Staff and management are awesome! Food is great. We appreciate all of you for always taking such great care of us.
