I’ve been nearly every week for lunch or early happy hour since they opened. I can’t get enough. LOVE their beef tartar, their scallops, and their deviled eggs with a perfectly made manhattan or old fashioned. The atmosphere is understated and relaxing with plenty of seating and beautiful natural light from that gorgeous front window. Staff is always friendly and conversational and service is prompt and professional. A true treat for myself during a long work day/week. So grateful to have this wonderful new space in Brunswick!

The place looks great. Very interesting. We stopped by for coffee and it was busy. There was one person taking orders and working the coffee, so it made for a slower pace. There was someone in the back working on sandwiches, maybe we stopped at a busy time. I ordered my triple espresso, and my wife wanted a regular drip. Once we got our coffee we sat outside, it was a great atmosphere. My espresso was great, but my wife’s coffee was not hot, and she did not like that, but did not want me to go switch it.

Great bar, with a really cool bartender. I met the co-owner and she was great too. The local patrons were all really friendly and there was great conversation. I really enjoyed it; nobody was glued to TV or their phone. There was conversation amongst strangers, just like the good ole' days. I would definitely recommend this place..

Creative tasty cocktails & food in a cool welcoming vibe! There's always something delicious on the seasonal menu. Love, love, love that they're a coffee shop in the morning, & a cool bar in the evening. Service is attentive & friendly. Fantastic addition to downtown Brunswick! This week, we enjoyed: 1. Pulled pork w/ a saffron spread felt like a nod to Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches. 2. Summer salad w/ veggies shaved into delicate ribbons & lightly dressed. The culinary creativity is put into intentional vegetarian options, where the focus isn't just on the carnivores. 3. Deviled eggs are always a winner. This one had pickle seasoning. 4. Pulled chicken hand pie w/ tzatziki. 5. Tuna crudo w/ a black garlic sauce gives the perfect flavor that's not overpowering. 6. Harissa wings w/ a bleu cheese remoulade

Amazing & low key spot we are so lucky to have added in Brunswick. Fantastic tapas, full meal options, welcoming to adults, kids, anyone, bar seating, or just cozy cocktails and coffee. Also, just when you think Maine oysters can’t be improved on, you have to see their Disco Oysters 😉 and as a reformed southerner I can whole heartedly vouch for the doubled eggs!

The Abbey presents itself as a refined and elegant café, where attention to detail is evident from the moment you step in. The ambiance is clean, organized, and distinctly upscale, with an inviting outdoor space on the front sidewalk. The tables, shaded by parasols, offer a delightful vantage point to admire the Maine Street while savoring a meticulously prepared coffee. The beverages crafted by the skilled baristas reflect a level of professionalism that is commendable. The espresso, while expertly made, leaned towards a more acidic profile, prompting me to balance it with a touch of water. The cortado, however, was a standout, hitting the right notes of richness and balance. The masala chai was a revelation—perfectly spiced and deeply satisfying. As for the hot chocolate, it was enjoyable but carried a slight aftertaste reminiscent of cocoa mix, which detracted from its authenticity. The breakfast offerings were solid, with the breakfast sandwich providing a good start to the day. The caçoila, generously stuffed, fell just short of delivering the robust Portuguese flavor I anticipated, leaving me longing for a more authentic experience. Overall, The Abbey offers a polished and pleasant experience with a few minor points that could elevate it to a truly exceptional café. Quick and easy seating at this great cocktail bar! Was looking for a pick me up in the evening and they have house made masala chai that piqued my interest. They did not disappoint!! I ordered the masala chai with a double shot of espresso. Well balanced flavor with a unique floral spice that's present but not overwhelming. It mixed seamlessly with the espresso. The consistency was smooth and velvety. One of the best chai teas I've had. I was so impressed I stayed for the tuna crudo, which was good. A little too saturated in oil for my taste but the flavor was great, I loved the sauce and especially the pickled cucumber. Portions and price are OK. Overall it was a solid dish. With a friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely a great hang out spot. I recommend!

We came from out of town and I found this place on Google. I just want to preface my review with a little info, I am an executive chef and my wife is a bartender. THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IVE EATEN AT IN 2024. Everything about this place is approachable. The service is friendly and attentive, the drinks were kick ass and interesting, the menu was the perfect fit for the vibe. Immaculate experience, cannot recommend this restaurant more. Thank you.
