Great place! Amazing food and cute little store inside. Seriously some of the best, non pretentious food in New Mexico! Salsa was great, bought 2 jars to take home. We will make this a regular stop on our trips to New Mexico each year.

This is a charming, quirky roadside place with a kitschy vibe. If you're looking to escape a menu that only features Northern New Mexican food, this is a great option. While they do offer some traditional dishes, there are plenty of other well-portioned choices available. Our server, Melissa, was fantastic; despite managing many tables, she accommodated us perfectly with her warm personality. I highly recommend trying the pizza—make sure to order it and enjoy it there, as suggested. The drinks also enhanced the overall experience.

If you look up the word “funky” in the dictionary, you should see a photo of this delightful dive, which is dripping with old and mostly-vanished Santa Fe charm. For example, I love the Madonna and child wallpaper in the bathroom and the sign that says “Please don’t graffiti the baby Jesus” (sorry, no photo for obvious reasons). If the weather is good, snag a table on the lively, spacious portal or at a picnic table. If it’s chile-er (spelling intentional, but clear to locals), grab one of the indoor tables tucked into every nook and cranny. The covered portal can also be enclosed in Winter. Beyond is the umbrella patio. There’s also a saloonish bar, tempting dessert cases, reach-in coolers for cold drinks, and a convenience market. The food, mostly sandwiches, is always good, as is the service. If you’re near this end of town or are looking for something a bit different and away from downtown, this is a great lunch spot. I’ve heard locals say they also like it for dinner.

This was my first visit and was a pleasant surprise. Very cool atmosphere and the place has a very good vibe. Was very busy and the staff was very attentive and helpful in describing menu and dessert options. The food was very tasty and delivered promptly. The dessert options are plentiful and looked amazing. Had an eclair and was delightful. Will be going back to explore more menu and dessert options.

A local recommended a restaurant to us, and it turned out to be the best food we had during our trip to New Mexico. The beers were just okay, not particularly outstanding, but the food, oh, the food was phenomenal. Every dish we tried was incredibly delicious, and their sauces had a unique and authentic taste. We started our meal with chips, guacamole, and salsa. The salsa was exceptional, with perfectly balanced spice levels that added just the right amount of kick. Next, we had chicken strips served with both honey and BBQ sauce. Both sauces were fantastic, complementing the very tender and flavorful chicken beautifully. The shrimp tacos were a delight, bursting with fresh flavors. The chicken quesadillas were perfectly cooked and filled with tasty, well-seasoned chicken. We also tried their oven-brick made vegetarian pizza, which was incredibly good. Although the toppings were a bit pricey, we opted for just one topping, and it was still fantastic. The restaurant is conveniently located on the way back to Santa Fe from Bandelier National Monument, making it a perfect stop after a day of exploring. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Was traveling from Texas and was told I had to eat here. AWESOME experience overall. Food was perfect. Atmosphere was awesome. Music was good and not too low or loud. I mean everything was perfect. Our waitress Ruth was very accommodating when I asked for something off the menu and went and asked the cook. I could not had eaten anywhere else that great for the money. 10 out of ten I’ll eat there again next time I’m in the area.

After being seated, we waited 20 minutes before being served. We witnessed our waiter chatting with her friends before coming to serve us and when she finally came to serve us and take our order, she made sure to hug her friends who were leaving while she was taking our order. Food was good. I had the green chili stew… delicious!! My daughter and husband had the fish taco and taco truck tacos which they enjoyed. The drinks were not that great but very expensive. Other tables around us were obviously upset with the lack of service as well, as one table left after waiting to be served… longer than we had waited. Overall, the wait staff seemed very unhappy which was reflected in their work and the ambience of the restaurant which, ultimately, affects the customers’ experience. Overly priced for the lack of quality I would have expected. Not recommended at all!!
