Welch Ave. Station

It's a bar that mixes a classic atmosphere with sports screens and a bit of nostalgia. The staff is friendly, and they have a great selection of drinks, cocktails, and draft beers. There are several screens, pinball machine, a pool table, and music at just the right volume so it doesn’t get in the way of conversation, making it a unique experience compared to the busy college bars in the area. I recommend it whether you’re going solo and want to sit at the bar, hanging out as a couple, or with friends.

Great experience! Was brought here by a friend who had attended Iowa State and came here regularly. Solid beer selection, and although they were busy - they still helped me choose a beer. Weird that their rotating beer selection takes so long to cycle through though - it was hard to read them. So just go talk to the bartender. They also sell t shirts for $18.

Wonderful sports bar in the heart of Campustown. A chill atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy yourself. Definitely, not your average college bar.

Great bar in the Campustown area of Iowa State University with a more mature vibe than your typical college bar. Friendly bartenders, great specials, and you can order food from Pizza Pit (restaurant upstairs) straight from your Bartender or Server. Lots of fun nights at Welch!

Even at capacity it was still fairly quick to get a drink. Food is available at the bar from Pizza Pit upstairs, and they have pretty much any game or have music videos on the tvs.

Nice, fairly laid back bar experience in town. Great having Pizza Pit upstairs, good drinks, reasonably priced. Pool tables are in good shape too which rocks.
