Barley's

Very cool restaurant! Super awesome architecture and design. Very nice selection on tap. Cocktails are very heavy. We had steak bites for our appetizer, which were good but missing the horseradish sauce which I imagine would be a complete game changer. I ordered the Barley Burger, which tasted amazing. The red onion marmalade worked perfectly with the rest of the burger. The crinkle cut fries were great. Wait staff was friendly and made sure we were being helped frequently. Overall good food, atmosphere, and time.

They have a $1 matches for Happy Hour on Thursday, so certain drinks/shots are buy one, get one for $1. The food and drinks are great and the service was awesome! It wasn’t super busy and it was a nice, relaxed environment. They also have a system where you can pay online through an app, so you don’t have to wait to get your card back!

Had shrimp baked with havarti. Very watery and flavorless. Waiter offered no napkins, no silverware, no drink refills, came back rarely. He was clearly poorly trained. Very nice guy, just very unsure of his responsibilities.

Thai chicken pizza was very good. Cheese and crust were exceptional. I bet the other pizzas would be great too

We haven’t been to Council Bluffs much so I jumped on the idea to try somewhere new. We chose to sit outside and view the area. Our server was friendly and thorough with us. My husband chose fried gizzards as our appetizer which I’m not a huge fan of honestly. They were good but somewhat chewy in my opinion. He was pleased with them and with his Shrimp po boy. I thought my chicken quesadilla was very good (nice portion size) but a had a little too much chili powder in the seasoning. I think next time I’ll try a sandwich to see how they are. I definitely want to come back and relax outside again.

Seat yourself style pub.. I like the atmosphere. Waitress was quick to see us.. Large selection of burgers.. Order...... Chicken nachos, house made fried flour chips,.. generous portion of chips and toppings. I am a fan of this type of chip, good flavor.. My wife however said she would prefer shredded vs cubed chicken That aside, pretty sure these were heated in a microwave and the cubed chicken may be packaged.. I walked down to where you can look into the kitchen and sure enough, there was chef Microwave. Not a big deal, and they do taste good. 3.5/5 Chicken fried steak New Yorker burger. Normally I go into more detail about texture, flavor, etc. But Something quickly occurs to us... And we've been doing this many years, I'm fairly certain, everything is pre-made. The Patty screams Sam's club. Even the CFS appears pre-made.. For a quick meal, this place isn't terrible, but it's a one and done for us.. With that said, the wait staff is amazing, on par with upscale dinning...

Staying in Council Bluffs for the weekend and decided to check this place out. So glad we did!! The nachos were delicious- tortilla chips were homemade and outstanding. My husband loved his burger. Fast and friendly service. Try this place out!!

Been here several times. They always accommodate a large group and we've gotten excellent service. The food is just average bar food but we don't really go for a great meal, more of a great place to hangout.
