The vibes were immaculate but the food was just not eatable. Every dish came cold. The service was good, the servers addressed all issues with the food. Bar and the bartender were amazing and even made custom drinks for us.

Great place for deep dish pizza. It was perfectly cooked. Prices are very reasonable. The place is eclectically decorated. Worth a stop.

Recently some friends and I tried out this place with positive results. I had a pepperoni flatbread which was decent but definitely needed the cup of marinara that came with it. Unfortunately the marinara was a bit bland but I still asked for more cuz the little cup they give you is not nearly enough. Now my friends ordered a pizza and couldn't finish it so they offered me a slice, which I gladly accepted. I'm not a huge fan of Chicago style pies but this one was very good. It was cooked well and the crust had a nice buttery taste and texture. Their pizzas are a bit grippy but when you consider that one pie will easily feed 2 people the overall cost isn't too bad. Their service wasn't great though. It's basically a bar with some booth seats so other than someone bringing your food out there are no servers. Need a drink refill? Go to the bar. Need extra marinara? Go to the bar. Not a deal breaker, just an observation. Fans of Chicago style pizzas should definitely hit this place up.

Was so excited to try this place but I could not have been more disappointed. Our food took over 30 minutes, and when it arrived it was cold. Our food was for 2 entrees was over 40$ & the portion sizes wouldn’t have filled up a small child. The bartenders however were so kind & the space was so eclectic & cute. I don’t live far away & if I need a cool place with coctails I would go back for that & that alone.

**Maxine’s Review** During our recent trip to Arkansas, we decided to check out Maxine’s, a spot recommended by a local friend. Our excitement quickly turned into a bit of confusion upon arrival. There was a $7 cover charge per person, which I was fine with, but I found it uncomfortable when a family of five behind me was allowed to enter without paying after expressing their dissatisfaction with the over-18 policy. This inconsistency regarding the cover charge raised some eyebrows, especially since there was no live entertainment to justify it. Once inside, I had to head to the bar to order drinks, which added to the feeling that the experience was somewhat disorganized. We tried an aviation and a margarita, but unfortunately, the aviation was served in the wrong glass and tasted off, which was disappointing. Having visited many places without a cover charge, I expected a higher standard here, especially given the entry fee. The ambiance of Maxine’s has a nostalgic charm reminiscent of a speakeasy, with music set at just the right volume for conversation. I did enjoy the vibe, and I could hear Maxine herself towards the end of the night, adding a unique touch to the experience. However, the presence of underage patrons and the drink quality left something to be desired. Overall, while Maxine’s has potential with its nostalgic atmosphere and the character of Maxine herself, the inconsistencies in policy and drink quality hindered our visit. We ended up only staying for a couple of drinks before deciding to move on, as the overall experience didn’t quite meet our expectations.

Our first time at Maxine's was on a Saturday. We arrived around 8:45 PM, the place wasn't packed but there was a sizeable crowd. The first thing that we noticed was the decor. It looks like a blend of lowbrow chaos to someone giving some thought of how the place should look - love it. We ordered 2 cocktails listed in the menu. They were both infused with ginger. Then I ordered a beer while my partner had a white Russian. We also ordered pizza, the Whodunit. It was good but there was a long wait for it. My partner said it was better the next day. I plan on ordering a sandwich the next time.

If you don't like this bar, you're the problem. Excellent vibes, delicious food and drink, great music. Try the crab ravioli with Cajun cream sauce.

Absolutely love this place! Best bar in Hot Springs!! Not only did bartenders Ashley, Trey and Riven give us great service they also make you feel like family. Johnny in the kitchen makes one of the best deep dish pizza’s we’ve ever had. If you enjoy a chill atmosphere and dim lighting with great live music, Karoke, and exceptional food you’ve found the place!! Can’t wait to come back!
