No problems checking in. The main bathroom was a little gross. Loved the modern vibes of the place. Dark rooms were fun (though I think I missed one) and the hot tub is very nice, a great place to see the guys coming to and from the showers. I’m excited to come back when I’m not so nervous from my first bathhouse experience and can fully enjoy the amenities. Update: Back here again in September 2024. Actually visited a few times while staying in the village. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Adore the modern vibes of the facilities. Every morning the staff were hard at work cleaning and repairing. Only complaint would be the showers needing some work as the handles kept getting stuck at one temp or not turning off at all.

The Australian guy at the desk is super cute, helpful and friendly. Some facilities could use improved maintenance. Some showers broken, not running hot water, steam room or sauna sometimes closed. In general it’s run well though. Crowd varies depending on day.

Longtime visitor. I had a bottle of Pure Leaf iced tea that they thought was booze. Airport customs let me drink forgotten open bottles before entering airport but Steamworks bans you if you finish a bottle of juice or tea at the entrance. I did not know rule. I did not hear their words because I am deaf and did not know what they were requesting. I did what I usually do at Airport Customs (finish my accidentally forgotten unfinished beverage before entering). Does not apply here. Ironically for trans night where I paid for 16 hours (renewed!) they let a Timmie's cup in. So they did a deaf discrimination banning me for a night, on a night that I needed to crash a room at, having travelled far. (P.S. On a previous visit, one time employee startled me awake via a shake / touch. FYI for time overruns, usual employee training at most places usually says to flash the light to wake deaf visitors as etiquette 101 due to the startle reflex of the deaf -- I just explain to them, a more forgivable mistake, no harm. But this? Banning me for a night unexpectedly and egregiously, on a long distance travel night, in a very clear act of deaf discrimination.)

Honestly, I don’t understand the tea of some guys about this place. For example, complaining that the dark room is too dark? I mean… Steamworks Toronto is huge, clean, and tidy. It’s a nice place for cruising, which means you have to be lucky too. You’ll find all sorts of guys here: from twinks to bears, tall, short, old, athletic, and chubby. The gym is well-equipped too, and the staff is very friendly. Overall, I strongly recommend coming here to have a nice time.

I've been to a number of clubs including Steamworks in Chicago. 3rd time to the Toronto location. The reviews here are pretty accurate. Busy on a Saturday afternoon/evening. The front desk staff I've dealt with, with the exception of one really nice and friendly guy who checked me out in January, aren't friendly or welcoming at all. Pretty much got a grunted "are you a member?" and that's it. I chalked that up to age- the staff was young and I am not, but it was definitely an "ughhhh" experience each time. The clientele is fun, you'll definitely find something to your liking.. The location is great, you're right near the bars. Parking in the ramp was easy and only $10. The club seems clean but I was there for 4 hours and didn't see any staff cleaning.. could be that I missed it, but there was a presumably used condom laying on the carpet by the DJ booth for at least 2 hours. The maze area and the dark room are too dark. I get anonymity but I seriously watched multiple people walk right into walls in the maze. Update..I went back on a Thursday night. The staff was actually awesome. Again, some beautiful men on a week night. I was there for about 5 hours and didn't see any cleaning going on anywhere. There were condoms and lube packets on the floor by the DJ booth that were there for hours and never picked up. You're definitely going to want to wear flip flops.

Last night which was labor day, I went to this place late and the reception guy was extremely rude. His face turned red when I entered as if he was very upset that he needs to operate the system again or maybe he is just racist. I saw him a couple of times doing rounds and he was rolling his eyes and making faces the entire time. It wasn't even busy for him to hate his job or the people so much. You are not letting us in for free. We don't need to be treated like this despite paying!!

Bloody amazing when compared to anything Winnipeg can offer. The mouthwash water fountain was a perfect installation to ensure fresh was always key to an exceptional time. I promise I will be back.

It's always been a great time here. Today had a chance to interact with James who was super nice and helped me get everything organized with my check in. People like James make the experience an even better one.
