Amazing place! So relaxing and special. Well worth the price because you can stay as long as you like. Both of the saunas were very relaxing and the cold pool was energizing. I was worried about it being crowded but we went around 4:30 and it wasn't super busy. Met a lot of nice people.

Intimate little bathhouse in Detroit. Great spot to go and relax alone, in a group or for a date night. Check the hours as they do have men’s, women’s and coed hours set. You can bring your own robe and sandals but they also have some available for rent. They also have large lockers available to store your stuff for free. I felt safe storing my stuff but bring your own lock if concerned about your valuables. It is a smaller bathhouse so can get packed quickly. Especially the women’s locker room, I’d bring an extra mirror if you’re expecting to go full glam after. Down stairs you have a cold plunge pool, sauna, steam room and showers. Unfortunately, the dry sauna was out of order when we went therefore the steam room was packed. I’m assuming there’s more space on days when everything is functioning. Plenty of seating areas downstairs by the cold plunge pool. We took advantage of the more private seating areas upstairs and had some tea before departing. Overall, a great experience! We will be back soon!

I love how relaxed & healed I feel after each visit. It ALWAYS smells delightful here. If i could package the scent & take it home with me - I WOULD. Sonya who does my facials, is the ABSOLUTE best ♡ having a variety of specialized food for brunch is an additional perk each week

Finally I found a good place to relax and enjoy. Clean, kind personnel, good price I liked the steaming room, it’s like a real Russian banya

This healing oasis is a gem in Detroit! We came on Sun night for co-ed hours. It was busy but didn't feel like it. Everyone was polite and respectfully quiet for the most part. We enjoyed the throwback decor. The stained glass windows are beautiful. The lounging areas have been well thought out and are appealing and relaxing. We liked the very hot Russian style steam room. It was a large room that could fit about 35 people and had a shower in it. The Himalayan salt sauna room was our favorite. It was smaller and only fit about 15 people. The pool was cool to cold and I only made it in up to my knees. Braver people were swimming. Showers were hot and and around the pool area so you could easily rinse off in between sessions. Chaise lounge chairs around for comfort and convenience. The upstairs has the kitchen which was serving some delicious looking food. You can enjoy light snacks or whole meals. Upstairs also had several lounge areas and a patio with a fireplace outside. We loved our experience. We stayed a little over 2 hours and felt so rejuvenated afterwards. We'll be back!

Treat yourself and come here. You can stay all day if you like for a very fair price! I have not felt this good in a long time! My sinuses are brand new too! Highly recommend!

I feel in love with onsens during my time living in Japan, so it’s great to have somewhere in Detroit to hit the sauna and cold plunge (wish it was a bit colder, but the sauna heat is actually quite good). Cool vibe here. Some are clearly athletes there for the health benefits, and others are there with friends to chill, eat, and even smoke on the patio. Either way, awesome space. Everyone was kind and respectful, didn’t stare, etc.

The Schvitz is an incredibly unique must-visit experience. Some may be glad to have come once. Others may find that they enjoy visiting regularly. I recommend bringing a lock or leaving valuables in your locked car. Come on all-male or all-women days and take time to feel comfortable in your own skin. This is a place unlike any other.
