I went to the bar and met a couple people. There was nobody in the bar but it was Sunday. They have arcade games to play too. They also have pool tables you can use. There Re a few other bars in the s as me are but some of them you have to pay to get into. It was a nice bar to go sit and chill out in.

Used to love it here but it would often be full of homeless people LOL. There was also a regular crew of dancers here that we're great I'll miss dancing with a lot of these people. The music was great as well booming speakers and then just a fun place on a Friday night because Saturday everybody went up to tracks

Strong and cheap drinks! A wonderful place to come, relax, and a great place just to people watch. If you want to be alone or strike up a conversaion with someone or everyone this is the place! The bartenders Craig and Anthony are fun, welcoming and pour the best drinks! Glad they got rid of the latest bar manager! The Weekend dance music is the best in town where you can just get lost on the floor!

I was her, and I the bartender did not attend us as other clients. This was our first time here and the bartender has preference for the employees that come on their day off!!! Never, ever coming again!!!! And we played our own music but the is a poster that said, "your music selection can be rejected at bartender's discretion NO REFUNDS!" SO they can play can stop the music they select from the music box!!!

Before the bar tender could give me my drank I was met with racist slurs by the old men who frequent this bar. The bartender and other guests heard this interaction and noticed I was uncomfortable, but acted as if it was okay to be an old creep. I chugged my beer and left right away. Not a great place as a person of color, and not a place I would feel comfortable leaving my drink unattended.

Went Friday night and asked for two rum and cokes. Bartender would only sell me one as I was only a party of one. I was charged six dollars and I left a dollar tip. Upon my second request for one more drink the bartender asked if wanted another drink, I responded Yes but he, the bartender, went to smoke. He kept looking at me through the glass patio door while I while I waited for him at the bar. I left and went to Little Devils where my drink was three dollars and the staff was friendlier. I guess they don't want me back. Okay, I won't go back.

Let me start with the description offered here in Google: "Spacious, gay-friendly neighborhood watering hole for dancing to DJs, weekend "beer busts" & more." This is almost accurate except that it is not gay-friendly. It is a GAY BAR and is friendly to all who come through its doors. I think it is important for business and other organizations that are an embedded part of a community to be acknowledged as such, and not erroneously labeled as merely welcoming to members of that community. To not do so is insulting and has the potential to diminish perceptions from outside those communities, the importance (or even the existence) of the community as a whole. I like this place because when I'm in the neighborhood, I can just stop in, get a seat at the bar, buy a well-poured, well-priced, well cocktail, chat with one the bartender (who are generally forthcoming) or one of the local patrons (who are always interesting), and just take the load off my feet for a few minutes in relative peace, removed from the pressures of my day.

The Compound is the Cheers of Denver! Everyone knows your name and the customers and staff are extremely friendly. The Compound pours one of the best drinks for a really reasonable price! Why go to LoDo and pay for parking, pricey drinks and have to worry about your safety. Stay in the neighborhood where everyone knows your name and welcomes you.
