Nicola gave me an amazing massage! He is extremely kind, thoughtful, and great at what he does. I was in a lot of pain and I really needed help, and after his massage, I felt way better!! Plus we had a lot of great conversation and I could tell that he really cares about his work. Thank you Nicola!!

Nicola is a super gifted bodyworker. His sheer strength and knowledge of the body is very apparent. I had shoulder surgery 3 months ago and have been very stiff and Nicola has been working to increase my range of motion better than anything has. Highly recommend him if you want truly effective bodywork.

Nicola is a true gift to humanity. That’s a strong statement that I don’t throw around lightly. Massage therapy can be a powerful & life changing modality. It’s a healing art when it is properly administered by someone who is truly knowledgeable, experienced, 100% present and genuinely invested in helping their client, like Nicola. What really makes Nicola’s treatments so very special and effective for me, is that he has a kinesthetic sixth sense, he’s guided by his intuition. Studies have found that intuition is a process where the brain uses experiences from the past in conjunction with internal & external cues. It’s basically a whole lot of information processing instantaneously to make an accurate decision. He uses this ability to work in tandem with you to achieve your specific goals. Nicola is down to earth and welcoming, his studio is conveniently located downtown, ample parking, safe and full of good energy. He is experienced in so many modalities and can work with whatever level of pressure you need that day. I usually always enjoy extremely deep pressure, however two days ago when I was in for a session, Nicola adjusted for me and provided something softer and more relaxing. I was very impressed that he can do 2, 3 or 4 hour sessions as well, that’s been very hard for me to find. Check out his really cool, fun artwork too! A quick side note, massage has helped me tremendously over the past 13 years, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, it has helped create a positive domino effect in my life. I love the benefits massage provides me physically with pain relief when old injuries act up, breaking down of scar tissue adhesions, improved coordination, posture and muscle conditioning, better blood and oxygen circulation, bring able to breath deeply as opposed to the shallow breaths we can get used to while juggling busy lives. I feel good in my skin and body again, I want to participate in my life. Emotional improvements in my mood, ease of pains and aches. Also, the quiet time during the sessions is good for me, I can process things that have hurt my feelings or upset me. I leave the session feeling better having been cared for which naturally leads to more patience with others. Being able to access my logic, the mental faculties, making choices from a non reactive state that benefit myself and others, which in turn even creates a spiritual uplift. Check it out for yourself and see what treasures you find on your journey! Nicola’s website is super informative and has simple directions to book a session. Enjoy!

Nico is among the best massage therapists/bodyworkers I’ve ever been to. He’s everything you want in a massage therapist. First of all he has “the touch”, which can’t be taught. You either have it or you don’t. For Nico, bodywork isn’t just a job, it’s also a gift, a purpose, and a passion. He has over 30 years of experience and he’s the type of guy who never stops learning about his craft. Bodywork is an art and a science and he’s both an artist and a scientist when addressing the complexity of the neuromuscular system. He knows his physiology very well. Checkout his website and read through the articles. His plethora of knowledge is immediately apparent. He’s the strongest massage therapist I’ve ever been to, so when I have a muscle knot in a very deep and strong muscle, he’s the guy who can get it to release. But he’s offers far more than just physical strength. He is skilled in many different modalities and knows when to apply them. He’s well versed in deep tissue work, sports massage, injury-specific massage, myofascial release, neuromuscular work, trigger point therapy, hot stone massage, gua sha, and others. He often combines several of these in a single session as needed to address the specific issues you’re dealing with. He’s a wealth of knowledge. When years of physical therapy have failed for a variety of the muscle tension-related issues, Nico has provided supstantial relief. For example, one time, all of my symptoms pointed to a very tight psoas muscle. I had been hunched over for days due to the pain. I couldn’t stand up straight due to the burning, pinching, radiating pain in my lower back. None of the stretching and strengthening exercises that the physical therapists provided were providing any relief. I asked if they performed psoas releases and each one said no, and that it wasn’t necessary for my recovery. I reached out to Nico and asked if he performed psoas releases. He said yes, so I booked the soonest appointment he had. He performed the release and I walked out of the office upright and almost pain free. The massage with Nico was a partially painful 90 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. Nico also understands to the mind-body connection. He doesn’t just deal with the muscles and joints. He also knows how the nervous system is deeply connected with the muscular system. I’ve suffered from chronic headaches in the past. I came to him with this issue and he released some deep tension in my shoulders and neck and this provided substantial relief. Nico is very compassionate and holds space if you need He understands that trauma can be stored in the body, and when tension in the body is released, long held emotions can also be released. I’ve broken down in tears on the massage table not from physical pain, but from the release of deeply held emotions that came to the surface as a result of the bodywork. Nico understood this and held a safe space for this emotional expression. It wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable at all. Nico is also very generous with offering tips and at-home exercises, ergonomic changes, etc. that will help you to address the root causes of your pain, tightness, and other discomforts. Nico is a genuine, good-hearted person who is skilled in his work. He’s also a talented painter and his office is filled with is beautiful art. Come for the excellent bodywork, and stay for the art gallery 🙂

10/10. The best massage therapist I've been to. Before finding Nicole, I got a message from at least 5 or 6 therapists, and none of them helped. I started getting deep tissue massage with Nicola because I couldn't run due to some trigger points in both legs. In only two sessions, I was back, running completely pain-free. He has excellent massage techniques and the ability to use the right amount of pressure. Also, he is easy to work with and really wanted to help me get back running as soon as possible. I trust him and recommend him 100%. (Also, great artist!)

Nikola was super empathetic and knowledgeable regarding lower back issues which is what I had. He really was interested in making sure I left feeling as better as possible and succeeded for sure. He worked out all of my muscle kinks and got the blood flowing again for which I’m very grateful. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone who will actually listen and care about your physical concerns. Thank you Nikola!

Nikola , listens ! He is very attentive to understanding the aches and pains of athletes. I had a specific issue of bound up legs from too much cycling and not enough stretching. I also have an old ankle injury and Nikola was very instructive on how to manage that. I appreciated his tips and well come back when in SB. Also appreciated his after care tips and pointers.

Highly recommend Nicola. He has great massage technique and lots of "tricks up his sleeve" for dealing with specific problems. I saw him for tendonitis in my ankles and calves. He listened careful and suggested approaches I hadn't thought of. Throughout the session, he was sensitive to my comfort level. Nicola really knows his stuff, it was a great experience.
