Brown Mountain Massage & Bodywork

I have had 3 massages with Grace. She’s the most effective massage therapist I’ve ever been to. I notice actual relief from my symptoms the next day and some symptoms seem to have dissipated completely. Besides her effective massage technique, Grace is a delightful human, making me feel comfortable every time I’m there.

This was my first time going to Brown Mountain, and Amber gave a killer massage! I specifically asked to focus on my neck, arms, and hands after a few months of home renovation work, and she listened. Those areas all feel back to normal! I'll definitely be coming back.

I was very disappointed! I paid $160 for a 90 minute massage and only received a 60 minute massage. They DID NOT send me an email or text message asking me to arrive early to fill out paperwork work. I arrived on time, fill out paperwork left on a table, sat patiently waiting to be seen. Amber did most of the talking and she only worked on my shoulders, back, and neck and used tools near the end of the massage. I thought she was going to work on other parts of my body since it was supposed to be an hour and a half, but she stopped and said that’s all for today and left the room. I checked my phone and realized that it had only been a 60 minute massage. When I confronted her about it she blamed her clock for it seaming that way but I told her I was going by my phone. She seemed lost for words and I said that maybe it was for the consultation? And she said yes and next time would be longer. After I looked at the receipt, I realize that it stated that it was supposed to be a 90 minute therapeutic massage. Didn’t mention anything about consultation. I emailed them back about it and all they said was Thanks for following up. We appreciate your feedback and I hope you have a great week. I won’t be returning and I cannot recommend them.

Zach was amazing! Neck and shoulder pain that I’ve had for years is gone. Best massage I’ve ever had. Zach explained the muscles he would be targeting for my specific issues. It was more of a medical/therapeutic massage than any massage I’ve had in the past. Highly recommend Zach … he knows exactly what he’s doing.

Best massage of my life!!! Grace Alex is a highly experienced bodyworker. I am preparing to run an ultramarathon, and she helped my body be free of pain and soreness for the first time in months. The combination of Thai massage and deep tissue massage was unique and integrative. She was asking me about past injuries that we hadn't talked about, simply based on what she was feeling in my body, and she was correct! It's obvious that Grace loves what she does and takes exceptional care of her clients. I am telling everyone that I've finally found the best massage therapist in Asheville!

I went to Zach with some pretty specific issues of pain in my right leg and big toe and he did an amazing job of assessing the issue and working on me. He was careful and efficient and even offered some follow up stretches to do at home to help with my pain. I left Zach feeling so much better and it has continued to feel better. Thanks so much Zach!
