Wellness First Therapeutic Massage

I am a former collegiate athlete and coach and currently in the sports industry for the NFL. My entire life has been on courts, fields, high performance training centers, etc. Because of this, I am not someone to go to spas for massages or membership-based type of places, because I never leave with a true feeling of pain relief and relaxation. So instead, I’ve done my due diligence to only go to massage therapists that the NFL clubs and players recommend. That being said, after going to many therapists over the years, I have NEVER been so impressed and grateful for someone. Josie has a true gift of making people feel welcome and safe, and literally pinpointing the exact areas that are causing pain, need relief or need to be worked out. You might be thinking, “can’t all therapist find tight spots?” Maybe to an extent. But Josie will locate roots of pain or stress and will be intentional to come up with a plan to consistently provide healing and relief in my muscles. I also get a ton of headaches and stress in my neck, shoulders and head. Josie has been able to clear my sinuses, and truly relieve tension that causes my headaches. I cannot recommend Josie enough and to me, she is a true investment into my overall physical health which translates into mental health as well. Quite simply, Josie has been a God send for me and I recommend her to all players, coaches and staff around the NFL for whenever they are in Jersey / NYC. They say, "Never as good as the first time". When it comes to Ms. Lee at Wellness First Therapeutic Massage, they are wrong! I waited until after my second massage to write a review, in case there may have been a drop off in quality over time. I assure you, there is not. Ms. Lee is simply marvelous. I have been going to Josie for years and absolutely LOVE her. She is a highly trained therapist who knows my body well and where the tight spots are. She is also very personable and is passionate about her work. She works on the NY Giants if that gives you any idea how amazing she is. Once you meet with her once, you will be a fan forever.

I just received a 30-minute Swedish massage with Josie and it was absolutely amazing. She is so professional, kind, and compassionate. Fantastic deep tissue massage! Josie asked what areas needed work and really focused on those areas. She checked in on how much pressure several times. Very attentive to your needs. I was completely relaxed afterward. Highly recommend!
