I had the most amazing therapeutic massage today. I went in with a significant amount of pain and discomfort. I left feeling like a whole new person with a renewed freedom of movement. Aaron is a magician! He also provided me with a toolbox of conditioning tricks to help build strength and minimize discomfort.

Aaron’s understanding of anatomy and physiology as well as his manual therapy skills and techniques are phenomenal. Each week after receiving feedback from me he easily comes up with a unique treatment plan for my needs that also builds on the therapy from the week before. I highly recommend Aaron's medically based, therapeutic massages for anyone dealing with a chronic condition, chronic pain, poor circulation, injuries or age related balance and mobility issues as well as those needing post-surgical / illness related rehabilitation. He's helped my MS tremendously. **And bonus** I get to stay fully clothed and the music is cool!

I’ve been seeing Aaron for the past several years for chronic back, neck, and TMJ pain. He works differently (in the best way) than other massage therapists, as he focuses on the problem area versus doing an all over massage. I spend most of my days staring at my laptop, and 99% of the time I’m scrunched up and not using the best posture. It’s no surprise that when I see Aaron, my muscles are tight, and my movement is limited. After just one session with him, I feel immediate relief, and even more relief in the following days. Recently, we’ve been working on my TMJ pain, which stems from my shoulder and neck tightness. Beyond the massage, Aaron suggests ways to continue the relief at home through exercises and using tools like the Cranio Cradle. Aaron specializes in myofascial release and stretching, a gentle and effective method of getting the muscles to relax. I’ve experienced his work to be far more beneficial (and comfortable) than enduring a deep-tissue massage or a Swedish massage. Aaron is results oriented and he takes the time to understand what you hope to get out of the session(s) and communicates his thoughts well. During your first session, you can expect to have a conversation about goals and the treatment plan before moving into the massage. Additionally, Aaron’s method of massage doesn’t require undressing, which is an added perk! His office is calm, quiet, and you can request whatever kind of music you’d like to listen to. He’s truly been a miracle worker; I highly suggest scheduling an appointment with him!

My review is long overdue (sorry Aaron!) I’ve had chronic back pain for many years due to a car accident in 2005. I’ve had two surgeries, rod, screw, cage and many injections. Aaron has helped me tremendously! I feel amazing after my sessions, he gives me tips & exercises for home to ensure I’m staying healthy treats you like a client but makes you feel like a friend! Thanks for helping me feel better Aaron!!

As a martial arts practitioner, I've had chronic hip pain for the past 3 years. I've tried chiropractic and traditional massage as treatments, but has neither made as lasting an impression as Aaron's body work therapy. Since working with Aaron, my hip pain has diminished significantly, my usual morning stiffness is gone, and I feel taller and looser when I walk. I highly recommend Aaron's body work therapy for anyone with chronic joint and muscle aches!

I went to Aaron to tackle some pain and range of motion issues and he delivered! He was extremely thorough and professional and gentle. He did a wonderful job of taking feedback to tackle problem areas. He also had great advice for "homework" as ongoing self-treatment. Unlike other deep tissue or sports massage, Aaron did not aggressively dig into painful spots--he instead focused on searching out tense areas and gently working to improve them.

Aaron practice a style of massage that is different from what I was used to. He methodically tests range of motion to identify problem areas. He holds pressure on areas of tension rather than kneading or rubbing as you find in traditional / Swedish styles. He makes you an active participant by frequently eliciting basic feedback (good / neutral / bad) when he works a new area, and consistently explains what he is doing. It's clear that he puts a lot of time and care into his work. Would definitely recommend.

In the 15 years that I have been receiving bodywork, Aaron Exum is one of the most skillful, intuitive therapists I’ve worked with. He listens deeply, both to what is being said and to the wordless communication of our bodies. People who may feel nervous about another person laying hands upon them can rest assured that this is a highly professional experience. Clients remain fully clothed, the lighting remains appropriate, and Aaron has a keen awareness of our brain’s need to move s-l-o-w-l-y. I am looking forward to becoming a more active participant in receiving bodywork, as Aaron gently encourages engagement from his clients, empowering them to take charge of their bodies and this work.
