This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had two gift cards from last Christmas for LaVida so I thought I would give myself a birthday treat and booked a new client massage and a facial. I wanted to double check the gift card balance but there is no phone number or website so I had to email the store directly. I was told one gift card had $100 balance, but the other was purchased at the location in Ann Arbor which is now a different brand so I couldn’t use that one. This makes zero sense. Both were purchased at the same location. Plus, it’s a plastic physical gift card branded for LaVida and says clearly on it that I can use at any location. They told me there is nothing they can do and that I need to contact their corporate office. I do contact, no one answers. I leave a message and no one ever calls me back. So I cancel both appointments and rebook just one - the facial but for new clients for the discounted rate. I then get a call letting me know that the time slot I booked is full but they could move it to later in the afternoon. I would have preferred morning, but not a big deal since it’s still on my birthday and I can still enjoy my birthday treat. Luckily I happened to check the app less than a week before my appointment and saw that they didn’t rebook me for the facial, but instead booked me for a massage. When I called they said that there were no more facial appointments for that day and it must have been a glitch with the app when I booked the appointment. I didn’t book the appointment, they did. I’m glad I caught their mistake because if I would have canceled day of when I realized I’m sure they would have charged me the cancellation fee for their mistake. Of course they offered to book me on a different day, but the whole point was to do on my birthday which I took off of a work. From the gift card to the booking, they made it such a hassle that this is no longer a relaxing birthday treat and I will NEVER go here. Too bad because it is such a convenient location but they make it way too hard.

0 stars (if it was an option) because I havent been there yet and they wanted me to pay a cancellation fee. Not feeling well and told this to the front desk when cancelling appointment (didn't want to get anyone sick). So beware if you are under the weather and need to cancel they will charge you a fee. Needless to say I wont be giving my business to this spa:-(

I've been looking for a new massage therapist since moving to the area 12+months ago and booked my first LaVida appointment on a whim. Abby is phenomenal. She is extremely skilled at releasing shoulders, back, hips. The release & relief are fabulous. So much so I booked a monthly membership to make sure I intentionally have self care moments.

My massage was amazing. Probably one of the best massages I've ever had!! From the minute I walked in my experience was exceptional, everything was very clean and welcoming I felt very comfortable. The young lady at the front desk was also very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back.

Be careful when you prepay monthly. I had several prepaid massages. I could not get an appointment because they were short in staff. I turned off the prepayment because I was up to 4 prepay and couldn't get appointment. They took my money and said it had been too long so they would not honor my prepaid sessions.

My wife treated me to a year supply of massages after she had a great experience. It had been awhile since I had last had a massage at LaVida so I kind of forgot how nice they are. It was a great experience and I thought Donna was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Looking forward to my next service!
